I haven't been here... sorry. I have been pretty on track with my eating and walking. I am really afraid to weigh myself, though. I will this Wednesday.

a work weekend

hmmm... another weekend at work. It's a catch 22 for me. I work two 12 hr shifts so I really don't feel like exercising on top of working. If I were to do it before my 6am shift started, I would need to be up like at 3am. That's nuts. And after 12 hours of patient care, I just don't have it in me to walk for thirty minutes or lift some weights. So, I don't work out on the days I work.

But, I don't eat that much at work either. I don't have time. As long as I don't visit the coffee shop for a high cal coffee treat; I do pretty well on the calorie intake. And I do walk a lot (at least half of my 12 hours are spent walking) at moderate-to-brisk pace.

With all of this in consideration, I hope the 'no exercise weekends' balance out.

Blessed Be

back from the lake

A week without tv, phone, or computer... I did such a good job walking up and down those hills around the lake. I wlaked at least 90 minutes a day at a brisk pace! On really steep hills! I didn't snack obsessively and ate my fiber one...

raced home in eager anticipation, jumped on the scales...

I didn't lose weight.

uhg. While everyone drank beer and ate smores, i drank h2o, diet coke and fiber one and I didn't lose anything?

very, very frustrating.

I go back to my high stress job tomorrow and really really wanted to at least feel like I had lost a few pounds on my week off. I am becoming desperate and the thing is; I know better.

I just can't help myself.

okay... here I am

At work. The tension is a little less and that helps. My thighs and butt hurt which helps because I know it's that 'muscle recovery' which equals calorie burn. I am trying to (each day/everyday) to look for the positives.

I have eaten well the past few days; even if I didn't log it into CC. I need to get back on track with my calorie counting but for the next 7 days I will have no computer access because we will be on vacation. Old school notebook tally. Ho!

My positives today: 1) two bottles of water (so far) 2) salad with almonds for lunch 3) Lots'a walking.

I will keep trying (really trying) to be nice to myself.

thinking about this

I haven't fallen (completely) off the diet wagon- just CC. I need to count calories to be successful. But getting to a computer at work is very difficult. I think I need to sit down at night with my old-skool notebook and add everything in but (big butt) I am so tired after a stressful 12 hour shift... I just collapse.

excuses, excuses.

I can be better than this. I will be better than this.

wtf?

I haven't journaled this weekend; I am at work and it is a really bad weekend. Busy busy busy.

even good dogs need to be kicked...

yesterday wasn't bad but I didn't journal like I should have- it was under 1000 cals so I wasn't paniced. Then today happened.

(The 'title' of my entry is what I felt at work today. Please understand I love animals and would never ever literally kick a dog.)

A terrible day. A person at work, chewing me out in ear shot of other people. She was mad at me for not doing something she wanted me to do... not even part of my job description and she was in the wrong but I'm the one that ends up feeling like shit.

I have cried all day. I didn't eat all day, which is good but did comfort myself with extra slices of cheese pizza at dinner. My stomach feels like a rock is sitting in there. Blech.

I hope tomorrow will be better. I have the day off and that's good. it is suppossed to rain so I will need to exercise indoors which is more of a challenge for me. I think I will just fiber one all day.

{{{{yawn}}}} I am exhausted. good night

Oh my gawd! I hate having potato chips in the house! I have to ask the family to 1)not bring them into the house 2)eat them all in one sitting or 3) hide the %^&$! bag!

at work again

yesterday was a great day; I finally made it to 150. Sheesh. I remember when I was 114... but hey, no looking back.

I walked at a really brisk pace for 50 minutes and ate really well. I was happy with myself yesterday.

Now I am back to work. UHG. My calories stay down which is awesome and I move alot which is good but... my being at work makes me feel low. I never really feel like myself when I am not at home.

work weekends are hard

I hate work. Not just my job, but employment in general. Yeah, yeah, I know... with the economy and unemployment I should be grateful I even have a job. Blahdee blah blah.

I have always had a job because i have always been a wife and mother with duties, responsibilites, bills... I am a good girl. I go to work, I pay my bills.

But I don't have to like it.
