good and bad news

bad news first... 100 push up program has kinda fallen by the wayside..... i keep meaning to get back into it.... but i donw... BAD NICK!! BAD!

good news.... this morning i was 199.8 officially under 200lbs..... i could no tell you when i was last under 200 lbs.... my drivers license has always been over 200... ALWAYS... so its been at least 10 years since i've been below 200.... that means 60+ lbs down, and around 25 more... i need to start working on building some more muscle now... so i need to et back into the 100 push program... and maybe start going to the gym... hard to find the time, but maybe once i am finished this statistics course i will be able to find the time.

thats it

back at it....

ok, so first off, in the month of October i gained about 10 lbs.... not bad considering it was basically a month long vacation and i ate whatever i wanted... mostly.. i did ok for the first couple weeks, till my wife joined me in California.... then we ate out LOTs and LOTs..... then we moved when we got home and ate like crap again..... but i've been good for the last week... and i started counting the calories again last night.

so anyways, i am at 202.6lbs... which is 60some pounds lighter than when i started back in June... the original lost from 212 to 202 (not after California) took a long time, so i think the last 28 lbs is going to be a slow one.. hopefully Christmas wont put me too far behind.

my wife is away on business until the end of December which makes cooking a lot easier. as i don't have to do a gluten-free meals.... also means i can start clearing out the freezer of all the glutinous food that was left there.

anyways thats all i got for now.... now i just got to get back on the push-up bandwagon.

started the One Hundred pushup program

so i just finished day one of the One Hundred Pushup program.......... hopefully this program will help with my upperbody strength, as my legs are fine, but still have a belly/manboobs..... though they are a lot smaller than they were 60+lbs ago...... also, i noticed something this week... with the change in seasons, and the excitment with the move, i hadnt worked out (cycled) in about 3 weeks......... then i noticed that i would break out in a sweat after realativly light activity..... but since i've been in california on course, and have been using the excercise bike at the hotel on a regular basis (only for one week mind you) i have not been sweating on light activity...........

now i wasnt getting out of breath or anything, just a light sweat on my brow.... what i've come to call the fat man sweat..... sweating for basically no reason!... anyways....

feels kinda nice to write in this journal again.... i'll try and get back in the habit..

also almost to the 200 mark i think... been REAL tought to lose any wieght since i het 209..... but i am down to 205 with shoes and cloths on, so i gotta be at about 200! we'll see... my goal is to get home, and be under 200....

anyways... time to go soak in the hottub!

whats with the green party of canada?

ok i have to rant about this.......... don't get me wrong, i have no problem with their platform or message they are trying to spread..... i was tempted to vote for them in 2006. its their method thats completely screwed.

Firstly I haven't seen, nor heard of anything for their candidate for Vancouver Island North, but there he is on the ballot. not one sign up in 2 of the communities that i visit regularly. now this isnt really a big deal, it just annoys me a little that they'll try for my vote without putting any effort into it....... while i'm griping about it, the Liberals are doing the same thing in this riding.... just trying to steal votes from the NDP and Conservatives i guess..

secondly, raising a stink about the leaders debate..... what right does May have to be in the debate? the other 4 party's leaders are all ELECTED OFFICIALS.... if elizabeth may held an elected seat, then i would support her being there.... but they dont have ANY elected seats..... just one that crossed the floor..... of course this is as far as i know, and if anyone knows better, let me know..... Thats wrong in my oponion, and i hope the next Prime Minisiter gets something official put down regarding who can be in the debate.

finally, the thing that pushed me over the edge was soemthing i heard on CBC radio 1 this morning...... the greens have a canidate for the caribou-prince george riding ( i think that was it) that lives in Burnaby. they have acknowledged that this candidate will not be campainging in this riding, and will not visit the riding at all.(reminds me of complaint #1). according to the radio (cbc 1) they are only there to say that they have a canidate in ALL the ridings, and to give the people the right to vote for a green candidate.... so what the heck would they do if they WON the riding? be an absent MP as well?? this just doesnt sit well with me, and i feel it is a pervision of the system.

well thats my rant.... i feel much better now.

1/2 mark..... 50 lbs lost

wow! I'm at the 1/2 way mark. as of this morning i have lost 49.8 lbs, and have 48.something to go. I am amazed that i have done this. i still have trouble actually believing this.

all my clothes are WAY to big for me........... i put my climbing gear on at work on saturday and it was to big......... it BARLEY was tight enough to be considered safe. so now i will have to order a new set for around $300.... boss aint going to be happy with that.... at least my floater suit still fits somewhat. i should try on my coverall's and see how they fit!

anyways. i guess i should by myself some new cloths, but we are DEAD BROKE right now, so it will have to wait till next month........ maybe I'll save myself some luggage space and just go buy some cloths when I am in California.

now i wonder how long it will take me to lose the rest of it..... my family says i'll be too skinny if i go under 200lbs, but CC and my doctor says i should be around 165-170lbs..... my wife i know just doesn't want me to weight less than she does, as she is having a hard time losing the weight, while it seems to just be falling off of me. well at least i have 14lbs more to lose before i have to start worrying about that..... Still... it feels great to weight less that my drivers license says i am, which was a lie 10 years ago, lol.

losing interest in journal writing

well as it says i am losing interest in keeping a journal........... not that its been anything important.......... but either i just have less to say, or i am becoming less interested in keep track of my daily thoughts and achievement's/setbacks

well i guess i got something to say.... thinking about starting P90x.. that might keep katie interested in staying on track............. they have lots of tasty recipes at the very least.

another weekend camping

went camping for the weekend again............ i weighted in after one night and i was at 218, which was down 1lb, but when i weighted in this morning i was at 221.4. i am not too worried as i am sure that will disappear by the end of the week. i am not too surprised as i ate like an animal for the last couple days.

no longer obese. now just overwieght!

just checked my BMI online , and it says its at 29.7, which means i am no longer obese!

cue evil laugh: mwhahahahahahahahahahahaha

but i am still overweight, and just a fraction from still being obese, so i still have a ways to go.

side note: was trying on some old clothes last night, and all the ones that used to be too small, are now WAY too big.... i have gone from a 40-42 (depending on fat days) to at least a 36, could be a 34. i am going to go down island on monday get some groceries and stuff, and i think i will stop at a clothes store and try on some stuff to see what pant size i actually am, though i have NO intention of buying anything until i am nearer to my goal weight.

thats all i have!

no more snoring for me

now i may be a little premature in this, but according to my wife i did not snore at all last night.... now given she was not there watching me the entire time i was sleeping, she could be wrong, but if she is correct that is amazing.......... i have always snored ALOT, and to know that i have lost enough weight to stop or reduce my snoring is really motivating!

on another note: HELLO 210's!!!!!!! officially out of the 220's and into the 110's this morning! yeehaw!
