yeah, today has been really, totally awesome.  first me & hubby went & got our enhanced licenses, so we can finally go to canada again.  WooHoo!!!  man, it's been a long time!  LOL  that is sooooooo royally awesome in itself, BUT...

today was our bankruptcy 'meeting of creditors' & that worked out super great, too!   so sorry for all you guys still out there owing 1000's & 1000's of dollars, but we're done.  hehe  yep!  dropped.  just plain dropped 'em all!  :D

the trustee didn't even want to take our timeshare, car, truck or motorcycle, either.  LOL  thank God!!!  he said they're not worth anything, but they are to me!  :D

now, the only thing is...  he might want a nice chunk of our tax return.  we'll find out when we file...  who cares, though?  i'm pretty darned happy!!!

well, i gotta go get more exercise in.  i only did 50 minutes so far today.  hehe  i'm gonna get it done today!  for sure!!!  yeah, i'm happy!  i'm soooooo happy!!!  Woot!  Woot!

behave, you guys!  i mean it.  when you feel tired or just plain lazy, get up & do something.  it'll make you feel better & give you more energy, and when you start craving them halloween treats, grab an apple or something.  something good for you!

yeah, that was like $46,000...  gone, gone, gone...  :D  yep!  gone!!!  the lady before us lied like a snake, but they caught her.  hehe  she shoulda been honest.  oh well...

Hey,

So how come you just lose all your debt? It's wonderful though but i am unsure i understand how it works. Hope your feeling better :)

it's called bankruptcy & it's really cool.  you just prove that you owe too much money & there is no way that you can pay it.  then you go to court & they give you a fresh start.  :D

sometimes the trustee wants to take some of your stuff & sell it to help pay some of the creditors, and that's what we were expecting, but he didn't want anything.

it costs about $2000 to get a lawyer & to file your case, but it's worth it.  we'll have bad credit for a while, but that's ok.  we won't be needing any credit cards anyway.  ;)

I'm so glad you're getting a fresh start. I know someone who went through it and after 3 years, they were even able to get a car loan at a good rate. That bad credit time will fly by for you!

Debt free good for you!  Feels great doesn't it?? Hey now that you have those updated licences your'll have to come up here in the summer man!  I too will be debt free in 2 months I figure hoping for 1 but will see with xmas coming I have 600.00 more to pay and have been doing 400 a month so 2 months 1 if i put another 100.00 on this month and 500.00 mext but I know what you mean.......it is so good to be out of debt.....but just remember what got you there and what NOT to do again...right?! It only takes a few years to get your credit back I had to do it with Brian...he went out and took out a loan without telling me then couldn;t pay it...I was always the one with excellent credit and he was the one with debts..but now ai have again good credit and he still doesn't!...HA HA to him...
