Entry New exercise program working
Jul 08 2009 20:38

Just finished the 1st 2 weeks of my new exercise program and lost 3.5 pounds the 1st week and 2.5 the 2nd week.  Feeling pretty good.  Was a little sore but getting better.  Checked measurements and lost 8.5 inches since 1st of May. 2 in my abs, 1.5 in waist and a whole inch in upper arms.  Swimming is really helping and the water is one of the places that my arthritus does not hurt.  Had to up my calories from trying to do 1200.  That was way too low for all the exercise.  So am getiing about 1300-1800 calories a day.  so it is definitely working  and will keep it up as long as I can....Tongue out

Entry Week 1 done
Jun 26 2009 19:31

Well, I survived swimming 1 mile every morning during the week.  And hit the gym on Monday and Friday for another 1 hr.  fifteen minutes of exercise.  Pretty sore leg muscles and shoulders, but otherwise feel pretty good.  I will wait and weigh on Sunday morning to see how I have done.  I am showing about a 7800 calorie deficit approximately.  So....Tongue outSmile

Entry Starting Over-New program
Jun 22 2009 19:40

Was doing really good.  Have lost 16.6 pounds, then hit a plateau again..Seems like every 15 to 20 pounds or so I hit a plateau.  So was a little bad last week, was eating more calories.  Too many some days, but starting a new program today with my activity.  I will swim a mile M-F early in the morning, and then work out at the gym on M-W-F afternoon.  That will be an extra 3 hours a week of swimming.  And will try to keep my calories around 1200 for at least 2 weeks and see what happens.  Day 1 id done!!!!

Entry Finally the scale moved
Mar 12 2009 10:08

It took awhile, but finally the scale has moved another pound and a half.  I hate it when I go 2 weeks and the scale doesn't move.  It can be discouraging, but I just have to hang in there and be patient.  So far I have lost 6.5 lbs. since Jan. 30th.  Not too bad I guess.

Just keep on truckin.  Really hungry this morning though.  Maybe I'll eat some breakfast before work today.

Entry Hooray for me
Feb 17 2009 20:19

killed myself at the gym yesterday...30 minutes on elliptical, burned 310 cal.  One circuit of weight training and 50 ab crunches on the ball about 20 minutes there, and then back to the elliptical for another 20 minutes and another 210 cal.  Had heart rate up to 154 bpm...whew...Yell  didn't think I would survive, but did!!!!Laughing

And only a little over 1200 cal. yesterday...Good day, but exhausted and headachey today.  Didn't sleep good last night.  Still a little headache.  But GOOD NEWS...it paid off.  Stepped on the scale this morning and was down to 213, which is another 1.5 lbs. for a total of 4 lbs since Feb 1st, so I am a little ahead of schedule.  I'm totally happy and hope to get a good night sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow.

Gonna have a snack (2 clementines and go to bed).  Had a light dinner tonight, shrimp stir fry (no oil.  only Pam) and 3/4 c. jasmine rice for some good carbs and protein which I need.  Starving though already.  ONly 1.5 hours since I had dinner.\

anyway...tired ...gonna say bye....

Peace OUt...Keep on losing....

Started this program on February 1st.  I am trying to sty at 15oo calories which is really tough at my size.  Starting weight was 217.  After 5 days dropped to 214.5.  Yay!!!Laughing  2.5 lbs.  Managed to average about 1700 calories for the week.  Not bad.

Saturday...February 14th.  Kinda blew it on evening snacks last night.  Yell But still only a little over 2200 calories.  Coulda been worse, I guess.  Will try to make up for it today and Monday and shoot for 1200 calories for those 2 days.  We'll see.
