my cabbage soup experience

what seems so funny is that i was gonna do the cabbage soup diet to jump start my weight lost again. i don't think it is a bad diet if you are at a plateau as long as you follow it with a sensible diet. and ofcourse if you continue to eat as if you are not on a diet you will gain it back. but that was not the case with me. i was on the high protein low carb diet and it worked wonders for me but i needed that extra umph and i thought the cabbage soup would be that umph that i needed. nevertheless, i bought all the stuff for the soup, my everyday stuff i was gonna need and spent over 50 bucks on this stuff. i work nights and didnt' really have time to fix it so i would start off my day by eating fruit which is what you are suppose to eat on day one and i told myself i would fix the soup when i woke up. but time never allowed b/c i would always over sleep and would have to rush off to pick up my kids from school and by the time i got back it was not enough time to fix the soup b4 it was time for work again. so for two days all i would eat was fruit until late in the evening when i got a chance to eat at work and it would still be something small. i think i lost 3lbs over the course of those 2days. when i did finally make the soup it made me sick to my stomach just to smell it. i couldn't stand it. so the first day it just sat up without me touching it. the second day when i could finally stand to smell it, i didn't want any. and five days later i haven't touched it. i am about to throw it away. i have accomplished my goal without having to bother with it. however i did enjoy the fruit b/c normally i do not allow myself to eat many b/c they are high in carbs.

AFTER THE PLATEAU

Over the last month and a half i have been at or around the same weight. ranging from 191-193 up and down again never to break 190. i then went up to 194.4 i knew i didnt want to start going in the opposite direction and knew i had to do something. so i drastically cut my calories and started to watch what i was eating again and over the last five days i have lost 6 lbs. i know that is not healthy but i had to do something. i am going to start my high protein low carb diet again for i have strayed away from that and that may be the reason for my plateau. but once i started watching everything i ate, like when i first started losing weight it is starting to come off again fast. if only i was already at the 190 mark when i started to lose the 6lbs. but i still feel good about the weight that i have loss.

DROPPING THE WEIGHT AND FEELING GOOD

WITH MY BIGGEST FEAR OUT OF THE WAY: GIVING IN TO THE GRILLED FOODS FROM THE HOLIDAY AND GAINING ALOT OF WEIGHT WHICH I DID, I HAVE FINALLY DROPPED IT BACK OFF AND THEN SOME. I HAVE BEEN TRYING SO HARD TO EAT THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF PROTEINS OR MORE AND STAY AWAY FROM THE CARBS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. MY WEIGHT LOSS IS STARTING TO LOOK UP AGAIN. I GOT DISCOURAGED FOR A MINUTE THERE B/C I GAINED WEIGHT WHICH SOME WAS MUCSLE WEIGHT, BUT I KNEW WHERE IT CAME FROM. I BASICALLY TOLD MYSELF THAT I WILL START AND REALLY FOCUS ON NOT ONLY EATING RIGHT BUT EXCERCISING RIGHT ALSO. I GOT UP AND DANCED AWAY WITH THE TV DOING DANCE AEROBICS I COULD BARELY DO BUT I KEPT MOVING. I THEN WALKED 3/4 OF A MILE AND JOGGED THE LAST 1/4 ON MY TREADMILL. I ONLY DID 30MIN OF THE 60 MIN DANCE WORKOUT. I LATER PLAYED SOCCER WITH MY KIDS AND REPEATED MY TREADMILL THING BEFORE BED. I FELT REALLY GOOD. WHEN I WOKE UP AND WEIGHED MYSELF I WAS DOWN TO 197.0. (5 WHOLE LBS!!!!)
