Entry New Month, New Start....AGAIN
Feb 02 2009 08:09

Would you believe that those scales did not move again. I am totally out of suggestions as to what to try next. All I can do is to continue on the way I have been. I am certainly loosing or shifting weight, anyone can tell that, but the scales don't move. When i say don't move, I mean up maybe .02 and then down .02 consistently, but nothing significant.

I have tried upping my calories, working out more, consistently, zig zagging, hmmmmm, not sure what to do next. Is it possible for me to get to a size 6 and still weight 187 lbs. i don't think so, so at some point it has to move right?

I have come to the conclusion that anyone wanting to add stress to their lives, try loosing weight!

Wanted to be 175 lbs. by Christmas and we are now into February and wedding this weekend and never moved the scale. Ha Ha !!! Boy do I have alot to learn about the body.

Hope everyone is doing great and ready to take on another month. Bathing suit season is right around the corner.

Be Good

Debra

Entry Uping my Calories
Jan 26 2009 18:40

Okay, something has to give here.

I am going to try uping my calories to 1500 and see what happens. I am taking the advice of everyone, and I mean everyone on this website and uping my calories. I have had the odd day at 1500, but not consistently. I am exercising faithfully every day, whether it be universal, treadmill or floor exercises to my dvd and I am certainly shifting my weight, big time, but not coming down on the scales, so I have to try something else.

If I gain in lbs. you will hear me screaming from here to timbukto.

THAT SCALE HAS TO BUDGE, and I'm running out of ideas here.

Wish me luck................AGAIN.

Entry FINALLY .......................
Jan 14 2009 10:25

Just had to share my good news with everyone. I am officially down 2.2 lbs. as of today.

It only took 5 weeks, boy at this rate I should be down to 125 lbs. when I am 84 years old.

I'm still gonna hang in there though !

Could it be the last few days on my treadmill?

Good luck today for everyone.

Entry My New Toy
Jan 13 2009 22:44

Well, I must say, nothing makes exercising more fun than with a new toy. I love it. The treadmill I'm talking about. I am on it everynight after dinner, usually for 30 minutes, which is 1.5 miles at 3.5 mph. I am usually soaking wet and sweating like a pig at that point, but after watching Biggest Loser tonight, wow, I don't think I have been working hard enough. They go from 4-8 hours and walk 10-12 miles a day on the treadmill. I have progressed to running, yes running, I don't think I have ran since I was a little girl. Boy it really does feel good though.

My husband is also looking for a universal gym, so just think of how buff I'm gonna look.

Oh and by the way, no change on the scales yet. Thursday will be five weeks that I have stayed at 87 kgs. ( 191.40 lbs) nobody would believe it, right? I think I have stumped everyone I have talked to and everyone on this CC site. I have had more suggestions and input than I need, but nothing changes. I have increased exercise, calories, decreased exercise, decreased calories, check to make sure all % are in order, decreased my fat, increased my protein, decreased my carbs and increased my carbs. Sodium has been decreased substantially and I hardly have any sugar anyway. Fibre is high and still no change. I'm not sure how long I will continue this logging in of calories etc. but I do know I will keep exercising. If I find nothing is changing, I think I will just eat as usual, but keep my exercising up and forget about loosing the weight. Maybe If I don't make it my full time job, then I will be able to loose much easier. I think I have used up all my resources and suggestions and have read every thing there is on the internet to read about making changes in lifestyle and not loosing weight. I could teach a class for all the info I have read over the past 3 months.

Anyway off to buy myself new pair of shoes tomorrow for the up and coming wedding. I think our temps are suppose to be something like -25 degrees, so it's gonna feel like I we live in the Arctic. I hate this cold weather,  between reading about loosing calories, every now and then I find myself flipping to the Caribbean websites, and looking for a week's vacation in the Caribean with my name on it. Haven't found it yet, but I know it's out there.

Keep Warm !

Entry New Treadmill
Jan 11 2009 18:22

Am so excited, my husband went out today and did buy the treadmill, on sale, so I couldn't pass it up.

Now if this doesn't work, god knows, I have run out of ideas to drop that scale to at least in the 180's. I am frustrated to hell.

I did 1.5 miles, 30 minutes and burned 144 calories, so I am pleased for today. IN future I want to increase that to 2 miles, at 3.5 mph. I am like a little kid with a new toy. I love to walk, but this weather just makes it impossible. Also set up a tv in teh room for me to do my dvd exercises with the dumb bells. So I'm off to a whole new me.

Hopefully I can get up early tomorrow before work and fit in a little more. I love it. I love to walk, so i put my MP3 player on and away I go. Love that country music, so I'm feel like I am in my zone. No phones, don't talk to anyone, love it.

Hope my legs will keep up to my incentives.

Entry Trying something different
Jan 06 2009 07:52

So still no change, so obviously this is not working as far as the scales go. I have summed it up and 16.6 lbs. since October 14th is just not enough for me and exercising etc, walking etc.

Officially today, i am trying another approach. When I started this new lifestyle, I really had my sights on loosing weight for a wedding in February, and low and behold 4 weeks away and have only lost 16.6 lbs. This is certainly not what I expected, others have lost way more than that in such a sort time. I am just getting down and discouraged with myself and I won't let this happen.

As of today, I am going to get those carbs down to around 45-55%. The fat down to 20%, and way more less sodium in my diet, lots more water and green tea everyday. Somethign has to give and I think I am going to hold back on the exercising. My body is sore, feels achy all the time and maybe I was just getting a little ahead of myself. Loose the weight first and then exerise to tone it up.

This might not work, but  a change had to happend on the scales. Yes, I do feel better, but at some point the scales do have to move.

Aside from that I am staying positive and holding off from buying that dress for the wedding in hopes that I just might loose maybe 6-8 lbs. this month, whic is only 1.5 - 2 lbs. a month with my fingers crossed and my new change in eating habits I am staying positive. Less carbs have to mean less weight.

Wish me luck !

Entry Still no change
Jan 04 2009 10:24

Well got up today and almost ran to the scales, NO CHANGE.....I must say, I am obsessed with my scales. They determine whether I am going to have a good day or a bad day and looks like another bad day ahead of me. I had my oatmeal, 2 pieces of weight watchers bread with a tad of peanut butter and a tea.  The proceeded to do my exercises, DVD ( Hot Bod Ones), but doesn't look like this body is getting to hot, unless your counting sweat!

It's suppose to get a little warmer out today, so I have to get my walk in. Bought one of those gadgets that tell you how far you have travelled, but am a dip when it comes to technology and can't seem to get it working, guess I will wait for hubby to set it up for me. I am going to try my protein drinks, Biggest Looser One, not bad taste, and see how that pans out. I don't really need any more protein in my daily foods, but oh what the hell, I am willing to try anything.

I must admit I do feel better and I know I look better. Hubby and I sat and looked at old vacation pictures and wow, what a difference, I have a face, I always thought my face was round, but must say, it sort of changing shape, so I am certainly happy about that. I am so bummed, I have a wedding in February and my daughter is coming home for Vancouver for the wedding and wanted so much to get down to 175 lbs. Back in October I would of bet a million dollars on it that I could do it, but didn't realize that it would take soooooooooo long. I am still at 191 and don't think I can loose that before February 7th. I have been 191 since December 11th, I am really thinking that my body just isn't going to go down, tone up yes, but not necessarily go down in weight. I would of though something would have given by now, my god, almost a month and nothing. There is just no reason for it. If I was just continuing on with watching what I eat, maybe, but everyday I am trying to do my best, exercise, watch analysis, walk, go to the gym, and drink lots of water, I think I really have to get on something to make things move a little faster. " I ask, wouldn't you get a little frustrated"? I know my shape is changing, but wow, am I gonna be a thin rake and still be 191 lbs. Not so, just never heard of that before, or I will be on Oprah for sure.

Venting again, I am getting good at that lately, just looking for answers I guess.

Well back to work tomorrow and might be slacking on this exercise routine. It's so hard working all day and then doing these exercises at night. i feel so good when I do them first thing in the morning, go for my walk and then start my day. Boy what I would give for some summer weather. Suppose to get lots of ice and rain in the next few days, makes for a horrible walk.

Went to the Casino again and won another $100.00, then hubby and I went for a nice supper. I had a salad and a few chicken wings, ops, oh well, only 3 of them and I counted them and still good food intake.

Hang in there everyone, I am wishing you all well and let me know if there is any weight loss secrets you come across.

Entry Happy New Year
Jan 03 2009 10:54

Well weighed myself today and no change, but I really do feel a difference in my body shape. My scales are just not budging, I just don't understand it. i have now more active then I have been in the last three months, since I started.

I am frustrated at one point, but then when I notice my size 14 jeans or a little baggy ( little), but when I bought them 2 weeks before christmas they were skin tight, so I know something is working, just not the scales and I guess I just need to it on them in order to feel good about myself.

I am doing my exercises every morning and hubby bought me a MP3 player for christmas so I have some music to walk to. My analysis says everthing is perfecto and I am eating 1100 - 1300 calories a day. Never hungry, when I eat, all I want to eat is healthy foods. I never overeat and watch everything that I put into my mouth, but somehow the scales just never move. I think when they do decide to move you'll all hear me.

Well I am going to persevere on, and keep up my way of living, don't think I could ever go back to eating like I did before. As soon as I eat something really really heavy in carbs, I think my stomach knows it and I feel so bloated and crappy. I hate myself.

Hope everyone had a great New Years. Hubby and I went to the Casino and won $500.00, so it made my New Years.

Here's to a new " us" for 2009. A few more months and we will all look like hot babes.

Happy New Year !!!

Entry Back on track
Dec 29 2008 12:29

Okay, so were back on track today, both in body and mind. That gain of a few lbs. just threw me for a loop and I was not happy at all about that.

I got up to day and back to 87 kgs. so I'm on my way to a new skinny me. Went and changed those pj's that hubby got me for christmas and first time in a long time that I was able to go with the L and not the XL or 1XL and still lots of room in them. I am learning that my body is apple shaped, I am getting very thin on the bottom half, but top 1/2 and boobs still have a long way to go.

As for that video I bought the other day. Woke up this morning and couldn't move, muscles were tight and had muscles where I never thought there were any. Ohhhhhhhhh, did they hurt. So I had my cheerios and 2 slices of weight watchers whole wheat bread with some peanut butter and showered, dressed and off for my walk. I walked 1 solid hour. It was a little chilly, but sunny and I really felt good, despite the aches in my legs from my new found muscles. After one hour, my legs were sore, and still are. I think I just have to get used to those hurts in order to feel good.

And I do feel good about that weight loss. I did learn one thing though, I really see now how I eat as compared to before. Christmas day I went back to that old way of eating, everything, and wow, I just felt horrible. Stomache felt bloated and huge, I felt lazy boxing day and it has taken till today to get back to normal. When I look back at my analysis, wow, my sodium intake was sky high for those days, so I am agreeing with my support friends on this website ( what would I do without you guys) I am also trying to drink as much water as I can. So this afternoon I will do a bit of stretching exercises for the top 1/2 of my body and see if I can shrink these boobs a bit.

" A Happy Looser"

Entry Up on the Scales
Dec 27 2008 09:53

Well after reading everyone's comments about eating christmas day and christmas eve, I feel better. I gained 4 lbs, but so did everyone else that stepped outside of the box for the last two days.

I am not the only one, no, my scales are not broken and today I am going out to get myself an exercise video. I have to. I have to start a routine of exercises and sweating my ass of. Literally.

I want this thing to move faster. I know I can do it, I just need the necessary information to do it right.

I guess I am a slow learner. Well I will carry on and get back to where I was before the 23rd of December. I am determined to take those XL pj's back that hubby bought me for christmas to exchange for a large.
