I hate writing just because. . . it always seems so silly and I feel like an idoit! Oh well. Gonna try it anyway.
For the past 3 weeks there has been a workout "class" at work. Basically a few of us walk to a tape 3-4 days a week. We walk at least a mile if not 2 or more. We do kicks, side-steps, knee lifts, etc. along with upper body movement. Its been great and I have felt awesome (for an hour after and later in the day- but the 2 hours or so sitting at my desk right after workign out suck!). I am up to 12 miles! (I think)
Went for a walk yesterday and the group of us started out at a nice pace (for a 2k or 1.24 miles) and then the group leader took off! It wasn't bad at first and I was only 10 or 12 feet behind the leader and then came the hill where I lost another 10 feet. About 1k into the walk we hit a second hill and the leader slowed so much that I caught up! Yay! After the walk the ladies from CJI decided we wanted to do another 1K so we headed down the trail for 500m and turned around. Felt much better walking at my own pace. In the afternoon my ankles and the bottom of my left foot killed! Total miles: 14! ( I think)
The pain in my ankles is still there today, but its a good pain. Not going to get to do my 2 mile today as we have a lunch meeting, but I might be able to do it this evening at home?
