Entry C'est la vie...

I didn't go running this morning. Boo. I just wasn't up to it. Plus, the ball of my right foot is sore. It actually hurts to the point when it causes me to walk on the side of my foot. I'm not sure what that means, but it's kind of irritating. Maybe taking a break from running was a good idea then, huh? Hopefully I'll be back at it in the morning.

It's ridiculously sunny outside and I'm definitely going to take a long walk this afternoon after my 2PM meeting with my boss. It's a bit windy, but it's just too gorgeous out not for me to get some quality time in the sun today. Keep up the good work Mother Nature - everyone in Chicago greatly appreciates it!

School news - I had my first Staffing class night. Yikes. Talk about a snoozefest. Not that HR is all that exciting in the first place, but I've always enjoyed it...except for last night. It's not the content really...it's the professor. It's painfully apparant that it's going to be one of those classes where we basically go through the book page by page and he tells us all about what we just read...and then we're tested on it. Kind of like how it worked in elementary school. So yay because I'll probably get an A because I know how to friggin' read a book and answer questions about it, but boo because grad school is costing me a friggin FORTUNE so I expect to get more out of each class then simply memorizing the text book. *sigh*  It was only the first class so things could change. Let's pray the do...

I'm headed out to lunch today with an old friend that I haven't seen in awhile.  I just had a handful of pretzels, celery, and carrot sticks with hummus so I wouldn't max out at lunch. The place we're going has greek food and that's one of my biggest weaknesses. Now that I'm not starving I think that I'll be able to order something sensible...and NOT an enormous gyro with a plate of fries.

Overall, things are good. I had a really busy morning which has just made the fly by so far. After lunch I have a meeting and then by that time it'll be 3PM. I think I'm just going to go home and veg on the couch tonight. I don't know why I'm not feeling very motivated, but that's just kind of how I'm feeling today. Oh, does anyone is a new Glee comes on tonight!? Please say it is! There's nothing that makes me happier than a good 1/2 hour musical sitcom.

Back to work for this girl. Peace & Love,

Tiffany

If you aren't walking properly you won't be running properly! Give it time to heal and don't get an overuse injury that will stop you from running as much as you do. I think the day off was a good call - not a "boo"

I am with you on the weather as usual ( I ran outside for a quick moment a little earlier) and the sun is bright and shining - an immediate cure for the BLAH's!

take it from the retard of running, a day off is GOOD.  Don't end up like me!!!  Do you have a gym membership?  Maybe try some cross-training.

Good job on the healthy snack before the lunch.  I went to PF Changs yesterday with afreind and had a few pretzel sticks and a hardboiled egg before hand, and succsssfully ordered pretty healthily :)  U can do it!

Yeah, I do belong to a gym.  Actually I went this morning and hopped on the elliptical instead of doing my long run.  I think I'm going to do that for a few days before I get back on the street.

And I didn't do so hot at lunch yesterday :-(  Even though I had a snack of beforehand I still ended up ordering some chicken pita covered in cheese and french fries. I pretty much ate every bit of it.
