Having done some slightly intensive googling. I have come to the conclusion that like alchohol, caffiene may be great in moderations for many, but it does wonky things to me. It appears the Trazodone may also be causing problems, probably by messing up my GI flora.
Looking back it seems as my coffee consumption increased, so did my weight and my craving for junk. As I back off the coffee I crave less sugar and I loose my taste for coffee. I'm not ready to give up my morning joe, but I've gone 2 days now with no coffee after breakfast. I feel actually better now.
This moring I was still a little not quite myself (hard to explain), but after lunch I feel much better and oddly less afternoon slumpy., still a bit yawny - but workign on it. I'm not hungry, but yet my body seems to think I need something to perk me up. I'm not hungry and coffee with backfire. So I'll wait it out, and do a walk when I get to break.
Still not up to the energy I used to have before my saddle was greased, but every little improvement helps.
No junky sugar today. So far so good. I did a brisk 15 minute walk on my break this morning, but my usual before work stroll. I may take another this afternoon. I need to get my blood flowing.
I also figure I'll save a ton of calories by not drinking the coffee, since I won't be usign my soy milk in it, which can defintely add up over time.
Breakfast today was Egg/"sausage" sandwhich. One egg, 2 Morningstar Farms sausage patties (80 cal total) on Great harvest Honey whole wheat bread with a little Earth Balance.
Morning Snack was a pear
Lunch was a homemade veggie burger on ww bread (see above) with onions pickles and catsup. I had some salad, but our fridge at home was turned up to high and froze my veggies, so it was pretty yuck!!
Later I may have an apple.
Not sure about dinner yet. I have potatos and leeks just dieing for soup. but I'm not I have the energy. (I found the recipe online, its by Morgan Spurlock's wife - the guy from Super Size me). It sounds great.
I'm on my second quart of water. So far so good.
I'm also upping the probiotics and enzymes to make up for the damage done by the tetracyline.
baby steps
edited: snack was apple with a little natural peanut butter and a small handful of nuts. I need something to stabilize the sugar.
awesome blossom!!! Caffeine and sugar both have the potential to mess with people. I keep an eye on whether or not I have to reduce either. It must be mess when you mix it in with meds :-)
