Went to Eating in the Raw club. That was quite interesting. Several folks talking about how eating raw had taken them off meds and one gal was cancer free 4.5 yrs. They all swore about how healthy it was, easier, less cooking, but more chopping. Most ate 80% raw, 20% cooked. We tried choc.pudding made from Avacados, 3/4 cup of honey, or agave?, or maple syrup, 1/2 cup cocoa powder. Of course they prefer organic. Well the pudding was good and if I had not known, I would have never guessed it was made from Avacado. How creative. Ok, a bit expensive and maybe not so low in calories.
Now I must say we only had a tiny cup of it. I enjoyed it as all did. Now within a few minutes it felt like a lump going down to my stomach that lasted about 40 minutes so it was an odd feeling which I attribute to the pudding as I didn't have the feeling before. Maybe I needed something to wash it down. I'd certainly try it again.
Hoping to go to a pot luck where I can taste other foods in the raw.
They said if you could change at least one of your meals to raw you could improve your health.
Interesting...raw pudding. I don't know much about it. |

I guess the raw comes from the fact that it's not cooked and no dairy. You would have never known what it was made from. So creamy and quite good. If you try it, I'd start with 1 avacado, 1/4 cup of sweetner (she said maple syrup was the best flavor) and some cocoa to taste I guess (1/3 of 1/2 cup). Glad I got to try it before I made it. Glad no one saw me buying the Burbon Pecan Squares today at Fresh market. Oh so good, sinful. |
