Sleeping in is so nice!  I forget how much I love it! :)  This week was supposed to be our week long vacation to go down to the Smokey Mountains in TN, nut with HUbbys job change and all we had to cancel...but I decided I wanted to take a couple days anyway!  So here I am!  Slept til 9 o'clock!!  Oh that was so nice...hubby put my little guy in bed with me before he left for work and he cozied up with me and went right back to sleep!  Yipee!

We had breakfast and now my oldest is in the shower getting ready to go to his friends house...figures, huh I get a day off and he's gonna leave! It starts early...:)  No it's ok really, I'm gonna spend most of today catching up on house work and that never ending pile of laundry!  So just one chitlen to entertain will make it a little easier, and I won't have to hear them fighting over the video games! :)

Going to attempt to take my little guy with me to the gym, they have a little play room fo the kids, and he has been a few times, but never without big brother!! Dun DUn DUN....we'll see how he does!?

Tomorrows my weigh in and I'm afraid I've havn't been sticking to my guns as I swore I was going to!!  So I'll be happy if there's just no gain!  I peeked a couple mornings ago and I was upalmost 2 lbs., but I did have 6 glasses of wine and chinese food the night before??? Hoping it was sodium, did pretty good yesterday, it was my Sisters B-day and we went to TGIFridays...I ordered one of there Weight Watchers Meals - THe Island Grilled Mahi Mahi, yummmy. but they only tell you the carbs, I can't find the details on line either - it did say something about most of their WW meals are less than 500 cal and 10g fat - So, I made it 700 cals and 15 fat, since I did have a few chips with the artichoke spinach dip, oh soo good! 

Well, off to the gym!  Wish me luck!

I finally got some new pics uploaded!  And I updated my profile intro. 

Having a great weekend!  Should be doing some chores right about now but this is much more fun! 

Got a new do this weekend too!  Cut it short and got some really fun blonde highlites!  Now I need to take more pics and get those up here! :)  We'll see how long that takes me!! heehee

Well, I did it!  My first Friday weigh in and yippeeee, 201.2!  down 3.8 lbs.  No jinxing here ~ thanks Twelti and Tamji! ~

I'm really anxious to finally get below that 200 mark...gonna hit it hard this week!!!

Got lot's to do...so gotta keep it short.

The week is almost over!!  Can't wait for the weekend to arrive, for many reasons...obvious reason ~ no work for 2 days, that's nice!  BUt more so, I have been dog sitting for my cousin all week, a 9 month old (ginormous) Lab.  Her name (which does not suite her) is Angel.  How completely ironic!  This dog is unbelievable!  Maybe it's just me, I will admit, that whole patience is a virtue thing, never quite applied to me... ;-)

When we got our dog last year, we specifically got a dog from a rescue that was already house trained and at least one yr old, she's now just over 2 and she really is an angel!  I always say what a good dog she is, but it's not till I'm around other dogs that I realize how lucky we were to find her!

Anywho, Angel will be going home on Saturday.

And today is the last day of school, so it's the first official weekend of summer vacation, want to do something fun with the boys...maybe the zoo?  We'll see!

Been doing really well all week with food and exercise, going to the gym tonight, and tomorrow is my first Friday weigh in....fingers crossed, I'm expecting to be pleased!

So I guess I shouldn't have deleted my old profile until I was actually ready to write my new one! Just seems like there's always a million and one things to do...sheesh!  I did manage to see Pirates of the Caribean last weekend...it was AWESOME!!  I think it was right up there with the first one (second was only ok).  I loved it anyway.

Nothing new really, haven't been to the gym for almost a week!!!  Bad me!  Definitely going tonight! I can really feel the differnece in my energy level when I don't work out!  Need to get back on track.

It's so weird how warm weather is always what gets me off track...there's always a BBQ or party to go to, sitting out on the deck just isn't the same without a cocktail!  And just that..sitting out on the deck, happens way to often!  I wish I could get back that gung-ho motivation I always have tons of in January!!!  What is that?  It's frustrating...I need to get ahold of myself and shake me up a bit! heehee :)

Entry Fresh Start

Went to the Pistons game last night! My Fed EX sales rep called me up yesterday and said he had a couple extra tix if I was interested!  Heck ya! Dropped the kids off at Mimi and Poppa's, and we were there! It was so much fun, my first basketball game ever!  And the playoffs no less! It was really exciting!  Pistons lost..but hubby and I are not real big sports fans so it really made no differnece to us we just had a blast being there!  I drank way too much beer and of coarse had to make a run for the border on the way home!  Yikes!  And as usual, I'm paying for it today! ICK!

But I've decided today is going to be a new start...get re-motivated to set a new goal.  I'm gonna bite the bullet and log my "new scales" weight of 205, I can live with that. Planning on updating my profile today, hopefully while I'm here at work! :) Setting my new goal which is going to be to reach 180 by Sept 14th, my sister is getting married on Sept. 22 and I'm the maid of Honor and the biggest girl in the bridal party! ugh!!! 

So I need to pump myself up for a fresh start!  I am also changing my weigh in days to Friday...that's either going to be a really good idea or a complete mistake, gonna try it for awhile and see...my thinking is: weekends are always my hardest days, if I'm going to slip up that's usually when it happens so I often times end up with a gain on Monday morning but it just turns out to be water weight or something cause it's usually gone by Tuesday.  Soooo, this way if I weigh in on Fridays I'll have the week to undo any damage...make sense?   I hope it works...

My sons school is having thier end of year fair tonight, not really a fair no rides or anything, but lots of games and activities for the kids, it's always lots of fun!!  I'm going to make sure I fill up on somethng healthy before I go cause one thing theres lots of is Junk Food!!  And my favorite game is the cake walk!!! Totally still gonna do that!  Luckily sweets are not my junk of choice! And my boys love it so it works out!! Besides it's walking, right? ;-) hahahah

Well got lots to do so gotta run!  Hopefully tonight at home I'll get a chance to post some new pics too!

Well I fiiiinallly bought that new scale that I won way back in March (me & hubby had a little contest & I won) anyway I never got around to buying it...I make the simplest things seem so difficult!  I had my eye on one at Bed Bath & Beyond but I just never go to that store and it is completely out of my way, I guess could have just bought it on line but that too just never happened. I did end up buying it online anyway but from e-bay! $30 bucks including shipping!!!  

I think subconsciously I knew a new precisly accurate scale was not going to be as nice as my way old school non-digital one! :)  And I was right...not as bad as I thought but it's about 4 lbs. more...I know it's not that big of a deal except that my first mini goal to reach 200 by June 4th is only like 10 days away and according to my old scale I was gonna make that on my Monday weigh in (actually there today!) but the new scale says 204.4...sooo it looks like I might be a week late! grrrrr!!! 

I know it's not about the numbers but I hate not meeting a goal I set for myself!!!  I shouldn't have waited so long to get the new scale or I should have waited a few more weeks!! :)

I have decided though that I am not logging the new weight....I technically have not gained anything I just started at a higher weight than I thought.. I've still lost the same amount of pounds, which is 40!!!  And I am happy with that.  So I am just going to leave my weight log at a stand still ~ last Mondays weigh in of 202 until I catch up on the new scale, but this being a holiday weekend I don't think it's going to happen this week!! We'll see!!

Entry warm weather wardrobe

It's finally warm around here!  Like 80 today, WOOHOO!  So, I had to get out our summer clothes, before my 9 year old died from heat exhaustion (he's a tad dramatic) and I decided to pull out the old tub of clothes that I havn't been able to wear for a few summers to see what fits and.......drum roll please........................they fit!  Well most of them anyway, a couple of items are still 10-15 lbs away from fitting comfotably, but I was pretty stoked!  I wore one of the outfilts yesterday and got several compliments!!  Felt great! Guess the weight loss is easier to see when I am wearing clothes that fit rather than hang on me. :)  Gotta run, lunch time and I'm starved!!

Weather is completely crappy today but it's actually not bothering me. I even have this eye thing going on (won't stop watering and looks like I was punched -pink eye?..hope not) and still I am in a great mood!  :)  Got to work early - planned out all my scancks, and lunch and was just well prepared for the day ~ love these days!!

Just as I thought, the 2 pounds were gone by tuesday, but still - they shouldn't have been there in the first place - I plan on having a really good week this week, hitting the gym tonight (went monday) and gonna go again Friday, then maybe a bike ride on Saturday with all my boys!

It's really gonna look like I dropped a bunch of pounds this week, cause even if I weigh myself during the week I only log it on Mondays - so with those 2 "fake" lbs and (hopefully) 2 real lbs, I should be down 4 lbs.!  ;)  Gotta watch it on Sunday -  Mommys day and all, hubby usually makes a big breakfast with all my favs...sausage, bacon and biscuits and GRAVY!!  I'll have to do a little subliminal messaging....ummm maybe french toast and strawberries?? or ohh a big veggie omlette with his home made salsa...yeah that one!

Entry Too good of a weekend!

OK, so the cinco de mayo party was a blast!!! It was kinda chilly but we had a nice big bon fire, and half the party was inside watching the Oscar DeLahoya fight (oscar lost - poopoo :( ) And I actullay did pretty well as far as keeping the munching in check, but I did have like a million glasses of wine!  Maybe I should have eaten a little more though cause I was passed out by 11:30 (lame)~ felt bad too cause I left hubby with the clean up and all the guests but luckily by then it was mostly just family and close freinds and they all just stood around my bed and made fun of me for awhile, I'm lucky I didn't wake up with a magic marker mustache!! :)

I did however wake up with a killer hang over!!**YUCK** I just can not drink like I used to...And for me the best thing for a hang over is - believe it or not - FOOD!  So hubby and I raided the fridge and climbed back in bed with a variety of goodies - chips and guac, salsa, taquitos, pizza, hommus and bagel chips, stawberry pie, rasberry strudle, and of coarse diet coke! :)  We snacked our littel hearts out while we watched Brokeback Mountain (love that movie, he tries to act like he only watches it for me but I know better).  We took a little nap and then decided it was time to go pick up the boys from Mimi and Poppa.  We visted for awhile and thought we would have a late lunch/early dinner and take a trip to our local Chinese buffet!

Now we have gone a couple times this year, and I had been really good, nothing fried, lot's of veggies and no soy sauce....well not yesterday!! No control what so ever - I don't think I missed a single item on the buffet!!! OY...so good, but so so bad...now, you'd think that would have done me in for the night right?  WRONG!! Triggered a major binge!!  Worst yet.  We got home, lounged around and played with the boys, did a quick yard clean up and then came back inside to get everyone showered and in bed.  I started watching Legally Blond (another fav) and decided I needed a little movie snack...2 tortillas with a little hommus, ok not bad....then just a few pork rinds (half a bag later) then just a small piece of strawberry pie (why didn't I make my sister take it home???) then a ham sandwhich with a ton of mayo, then (yes there's more) a few taquitos, doritos, and rounded it all off with about 8 choc chip cookies and a glass of milk!  UGH!! 

Needless to say, feel like donkey doo today, and am up 2 pounds since last monday!  I'm bloated and am going every 20 minutes...so I'm downing the water and heading for the gym right after work.  I really need to get back on track, I can feel it happening, I'm headed toward that Fark-it (thanks by the way to tamji for a such a creative alternative to such a harsh word -I use it all the time;)) attitude, where I am just ready to throw in the towell, but I'm not giving in...just got to get over this mole-hill before it becomes a mountain! :)  The good news is I've found my trigger..it's alcohol!!!  Weather it's the munchies while I drink or the aftermath the next day, I always end up with a gain or no loss, and usually some level of a binge. 

So, that is my goal, no more alcohol till I reach my 200 lb. goal ( then a little celebration) and back to a strict alcohol intake.  Wish me luck!
