Weekly Update

As I am becoming more aware of my diet/life style change with my weight gain I have realized what my problems are. I am going to write them down and my goal will be tackle all these problems and keep defining any further problems that occur in my diet. These trends have occurred in the past two to three months and by writing them down I will accept them and face them.

The Bad diet:

Last Friday we had pot luck at my work and I killed it! I ate a little bit of everything and did not go back for seconds (the good). However, I had one piece of brownie with ice cream, half slice of cheesecakes and one and a half slice of apple pie!(the bad) This is what did it for me and I felt so guilty after wards. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior.

On the 17th we had Chocolate Chip cookies at work and I ate 3 of them on one day and they were the large size (like the ones you get at Mrs. Fields).

I was eating two to three servings of chips on a daily basis. The other day I ate the entire 99c bag in one sitting!

We bought chocolate bags (mini bite size chocolate) for Halloween and I have been eating one or two each day (some days I have 4 to 6 in day)

NO WONDER my belt does not fit anymore!

---------

Here is my game plan and how I am slowly going to change my habits.

Will not eat more then one chocolate per day (Even if they are bite size). I bought a box of whopper and Reese's pieces when I went to the shop yesterday, which I will keep at work. When I feel like eating something sweet I will count 5 Reese's or eat two whoppers- eat them slowly and lock away the box.

I also bought a bag of chips and when I eat them i will count 10 on a plate and lock away the bag.

I feel that my meals are the same as before but I will need to cut down on the carbs I have been eating.

I have started bringing fruits and nuts with me at work again to help me control from snacking on unhealthy items.

I WILL constantly remind me self binging is not accepted and EVERYTHING should be eaten in moderation. When I do get my self control I will allow my self one day every two weeks to treat my self to either cookies or ice cream or some junk food therefore to avoid any future binge.

Once I settle into the new place and set my routine I will work out minimum of two to three times each week. I know for me workouts has always helped me eat healthier and be more stress free. My goal date is January to start my work outs but my eating habits have to change immediately. Thanksgiving meal will be a good test.

Happy Holidays!

An Update

It has been three months since my wedding and I have been to work out 4 times in the last three months. We moved into our new apartment last month and the entire month was busy with setting up the place, buying furniture and all the basic necessaries. I believe I need two more weekends (excluding Thanksgiving weekend) and I should have the place set and ready to get back to a routine.

With a new life style I am having a difficult time trying to find time to work out. Although, I have tried to continuously eat healthy my weekends and many meals have not been home made; thus high in fat, salt and calories. I try to stick with the healthy choices but am having a hard time and am slowly turning to my old habits of buying what taste good.

For the wedding I had reached close to my goal of 115 and was at 124 and I felt happy about my toned shape and how I looked. Additionally, for my honeymoon we went to a national park (Yellowstone) which required lots of hiking and physical activity. However, my clothes are once again tight and I can feel my belly is now once again turning into a tire and losing its toned shape for which I had worked for more than a year.

I doubt I will have time to go work out for the remaining of the year since the holiday season is approaching and work is always busy during this time of the year too. I will start counting calories again for most days in order to maintain my current weight. I do not own a scale yet so not sure how much I weight but my guess is 128 to 132 :-(. I want to make sure I stop my weight gain and if possible lose 10 to 15 lbs to be at 120 or 115 and I will be satisfied.

Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving potluck and it will be a good day to start counting and I should try to limit my calorie intake tomorrow no matter how tempted I am to go back for seconds!

Today i am craving Panda but I should save my calories for the potluck tomorrow...

Sorry about the long post but did want to summarize on where I stand since my last post here at CC.

my daily journal

After a month of break I finally worked out last night. I was really scared and nervous of having lost my stamina and starting from scratch; however our bodies are really amazing. I definately was not able to go as heavy and as fast as when I was working out regularly but I did maintain a good space and time. My heart did feel like it was working but nothing like when I had initially started to work out.

Now I need to fix my schedule and set a routine for my work outs in there. Trying to find a new place and settling down to a new schdule, I doubt I can work out 4 or 6 days a week but I can try to maintain what I eat and not gain any of the weight back.

I DID IT

Thanks to all my friends and support from Calorie count who motivated me and all the advice posted onthis website I managed to lose 15 pounds! For the longest time I was not going below 132 and the last I checked I was 124 - Hooray..

I feel satisfied with my body and shape & was happy with my body on my wedding day.

I have not worked out for a month because of the wedding and moving to a new place but I will go work out today. Since it has been long since I have been to the gym I am a bit nervous and scared because I probably lost my stamina. I hope that I can pick it up in a week or two. Now my goal is to lose 10 more pounds or atleast not to gain any of the weight I have lost. I currently do not have a scale at his place so as soon as move to our new appartment in a month or two my first purchase will be a scale.

Wanted to share my success to felow calorie count friends and Thank them again for all their support. A year plus some months of hard work finally paid off and the reward is priceless.

My Weekly Journal

It always feels good to come and write my status on this journal. Although, it is a the same old same old most of the time it helps me get motivated again.

last nite I had to miss my work out because of some unscheduled errands. I plan to go work out today to make up for my lost time yesterday. I might just go jog in the park so I will be done in an hour; since I only have an hour this will help me keep within limits.

My weight is still lingering around the same number 132!!! I have NO idea what to do to break this platue. I push my self harder at the gym each time. I increase the weights I lift - I change my eating habits often...I am happy to have maintained but very frustrated to not see any results on the scale. Also there are minimal results on my inches.

Will have to remind my self to continue work out because even if I don't lose I need to maintain my energy and stamina.

my daily journal

Yesterday's work out was amazing! Since I had not been to the gym for a week I was afraid I would lost a bit of stamina but fortunately after 5 minutes I got motivated. I jogged longer; althought I got tired I pushed my self until I could not feel my legs any more.

Once at the gym I usually have to force my self to stop and leave the gym in an hour. Once I start I can go for 1.5 hours or even 2 but then I will find excuses not to go since it takes too long.

I have lost inches in my thighs! The place I thought it was impossible to do so in. I have not measured them but I can tell by the way my jeans fit. I also feel muscle in my thighs and my arms and once the fat layer disappears I am hoping to see my toned body.

Note to self: Need to do my crunches and push ups.

Went to yoga yesterday but didn't feel like I got a work out - the stretches did feel good and relaxing but I am looking forward to aerobics tonight.

I have been better at waking up early so I can leave work early and still have some time for my self after my work out. Getting home by 6 or 6:30 after my work out feels much better than getting home at 8:00.

My Weekly Journal

My vacation last week was great. Vacation did involve lots of food and lots of walking so in the end I evened out (no weight gain or loss).

Although I was very tired and exhausted yesterday I went for a walk - it was light walk for an hour but I am proud of it. I will try to jog today and since I haven't done heavy work out for a week it will be harder but I know once I start I can push my self even more.

I am happy because I am back to pre-Christmas weight and am back to using a belt again. Also, I feel I am working out a bit more aggressive now with my higher stamina so I am hoping that in two months (my wedding time) I see more definition.

I will be upset if my Platue doesn't break (weight 132)- because I now know I have tried everything I possible could. Skipping work outs, working out light and heavy, eating my max and min calories allowed...I have tried to trick my body every possible way I knew how. I have increased my weight lifting and hope that does part of the trick too. I have once again lost inches but am not seeing my body tone even though I am lifting weights.

No matter what the result I know I want to continue to work out because I feel healthier and am more relaxed even if I go out for lunch or dinner. I noticed my metabolism is slowing down with age but with work outs it is staying more steady.

Time to get back to work...

My Weekly Journal

I miss posting my updates on CC. Work and life in general is getting so busy it is hard to find time now a days.

Overall I am maintaning my life style change. There are days/weeks where I don't get a chance to work out. Then there are weeks where I am working out 6 days a week. When I don't work out like last week - I feel unhappy, guilty and unproductive (even though I missed the work out because of the flu).

I am very happy with my diet change becuase I am no longer craving foods like I used to. With over a year of eating mostly fruits and vegetables I now realize that the reason I ate so much more before was because I was not eating any food with value. The food I was eating was mostly calories and not nutritional. The new diet has helped me feel better and more comfortable.

My work outs are also amazing. I am no where ready to run a marathon but I have noticed the increase in my stamina. I can jog longer or faster and I can increase my incline for a longer period of time. I can lift more weights and or do more reps.

I am currently at size 6 and when bloating or if I do not work out for a while then I move to size 8. I do wish to remain size 6 on days when I am bloating. I also do want to be a comfortable size 6 since right now size 6 fits just right - no extra space. Next week I am going to Boston so I will post the week after on how things are going.

Thanks to all the buddies on CC for all the motivation and education. I have learned so much!!

My weekly/monthly update.

I have reached my pre-Christmas shape. I am not saying weight because I still weight 132!! Seriously how can I keep gaining muscles to the exact pound I am losing my fat is beyond me. I also do not see the tone/definition that I am aiming for. However, my clothes are fitting like they did before Christmas and my outfits that had started to get tight are now perfect.

I think I have learned how to balance my eating habbits and work outs. I don't get to work out as often as I like but I am no longer stuck on a schedule. Previoulsy I would set a schedule but now I work out when ever I get a chance. I also satisfy all my cravings but I automatically stop after having just a few cookies or chips.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
