Entry Too many carbs + fats
Nov 05 2009 12:27

Today I did an analysis on the last three days of eating, and it shows a lot of data. It seems that I am eating WAY TOO MUCH in the form of carbs and fat. Not enough protein, I think. Man that pie chart reveals the truth.

I have some work to do, that is, focusing on what I am putting in my mouth, and also exercising more.

It is pouring down rain in Seattle today,  I am so glad that I have a gym membership because tonight I am going to the water aerobics class.

One day at a time, that's what it is all about.

I am in love with the analysis tool :)

I can't seem to get much more protein without a) getting more saturated fat in the end or b) drinking whey protein drinks.

right now I run about 42% carbs (including 25-30 fiber), 22% protein and 35% fat (ek!) I'm doing 1200 cals a day so i'm trying to keep my saturated fats around 12 (hard!) and sodium under 2400. What are your % and DV like so far for 3 days ?

If I could cut cheese out of my diet completely I would be doing perfectly :)

Come hang out in 100+ group, I see you are a member and we are a lot of fun and very supportive there :)

Welcome to CC!  I live in Edmonds, so we're neighbors (kinda, hehe).  I too love the analysis tool and use it to manage my macro's.  I'm aiming for 40/30/30 but tend to have too much fat.  Good for you for going to the gym.  That is my biggest hurdle, just getting there.  If I don't stop between work and home, I just won't go.  Try not to get too gung ho cause you will burn out.  Start slow with baby steps and make small changes.  It may take longer to get there but this time will be permanent.  That's my stratagy anyway.  Good luck and read as many of the boards as you can.  Lots of great info here.
