I've made a decision to lose the weight. I'll probably be at it for quite a while.
Let's face it. I'm a bit scared at this point. This is probably the third or fourth time I've recommitted to weight loss, and I'm heavier now then I was when all of this began.
But here's how I'm going to look at it. 2 pounds a week would be awesome, but I'll be happy just to lose 5 pounds a month. Yep.. 5 pounds. that's it. By July 1st, I should be down by 40 pounds. By next school year, I'll have lost 50. In one years time, I will have lost 60.
So that's my goal. I'm making a 1 year commitment as of this date. I want to use just 1 year of my life to see how far I can go.
I'm going to have several checkpoints. If I reach my goals, I'm going to have my husband reward me by taking me somewhere special. I've also asked him to work on losing weight with me. Hopefully that will make this journey a bit easier to bear.
Anyway, that's it! I'll add a new journal entry each month. So see you in December.
