I have found out that I am very much an emotional eater. I turn to food for comfort too often. I have quit smoking within the last month and I started to eat more for the first week before I realized what I was doing. I started counting my calories to help me monitor what I was eating and how much I was. I learned so much about myself then.
I also have a very sweet tooth, which makes my lifestyle change a little more difficult. I try not to look at this as a diet because it makes it harder for me. When I tell myself this is a lifestyle change to become healthier, I tend to eat better. I do try to drink a lot of water when I eat sweets or I try to eat some vegetables with it. I don't know if this helps at all but I hope it does.
Now that I know what kind of eater I am, I need to learn how to retrain the way I think to better myself and my body. It will be work, but I know that I can do it.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
