*Nutrition 101* ~ *Google Me This* Sir Links~a~Lot!
Hmmm.... Wonders... Just what is *Nutrition* all about?
Btw, what is your Favorite Fruit or Veggie?
I like fruit a lot more than I like veggies, so it's going to be more difficult to narrow the fruit down to one. As for veggies, I would have to say celery. I like it "stuffed" with either lowfat cream cheese or a little bit of peanut butter, or diced up in a bowl with some lowfat dressing, as a snack. So, curiously, I google'd celery and found this:

Hmm... on to the fruits! I love watermelon! It's my favorite summer fruit! I also love peaches, especially when they are juicy. Pineapple is another favorite of mine, and granny smith apples. I could probably get the 5-a-day of fruits and veggies on just veggies, but probably wouldn't be too balanced, now would it? Well, out of curiosity, I google'd watermelon and found:

Hey Willow! Congrats on getting parts 1 & 2 of week 1 done! Woo hoo :) You asked... Just wanted to let you know I have 2 of the Challenges done (part 1 & 2 of week 1) however not sure if they are done the way that they are suppose to be done. you done did good! The idea was to get you thinking about goals ~ what are yours? & the idea of googling to research nutrition! which you did very well! Watermelon is my fav summertimes fruit too! I miss is all year until it comes back in :) So, Parts 1 & 2 of week 1 ~ that's it! Woo Hoo! U done did gr8 :) you asked... Also, was looking at #3 (Something *Old* ~ Something *New* ~ No Longer Blue!) and it said to either 'log it' or do the Nutritional Analysis. Just curious, if you log it, it ends up being part of your food log, or would you just delete it after coming up with all the info? This has me a little confused. Sorry. Hey ~ no apologies! I confused a whole lot of people week 1 ~ main reason it was extended and people, everybody gets a chance to double back! This is a 1st for me and a lot of this stuff was written in our spare time in the wee hours together, so... it's hard to be a professional writer, no doubt! So ask about anything! Don't mind at all! Answer... yes, log it, look at it and then delete it. Can be an eye opening experience to really look at some of our old favs... Mine ~ humongo burrito in a 12 inch wrap with 1/2 cup refried beans or more, 1/2 cup hamburger or more, er lots of cheese ~ big handful, several scoops of sour cream... salsa yes. rabbit food, er no... well maybe some diced tomatos... a leeetle shredded lettuce but give me those other ooey gooey yummy stuff! Now... my new fav wrap is La Tortilla Factory low fat low carb high fiber multi-grain 12 inch wrap (100 cals), 2 of them... and I split the stuff between the 2... about 1/3 cup smashed black beans (a super food, antioxidant, but not refried, i rinse canned beans and then smash em), very lean hamburger or other lean meat like grilled spiced chicken... whatever # oz i'm eating that meal, about 1/2 c sliced onions and 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers & 1/2 c diced tomatos and about 2 tbs fat free sour cream... when I splurge, a little bit of regular cheddar cheese but usually skip that... oh yummers. making me drool! good thing I have a bedtime snack every night! must be time ;) Ok.. Hey your doing great!!!! Keep it up!!! To answer your question you left in my journal, I got my computer image at mvm.com They have a computer model that you can make to fit your dimensions. I just cut and paste mine when I was done. I also have one for my current weight and my mid goal of 200. But landsend (one of the companys that uses mvm) isn't "fat" friendly so those models only have on underwear :) Didn't think that was appropriate for public display. ((hugs)) |
