Just a quick note before heading to bed. I can feel myself cycling down and getting depressed and frustrated. Been trying hard to keep to as close to 1200 calories as possible. I used to enjoy the whole 'dieting' thing since I started last September, and didn't even get bothered by it. I wasn't having any real problems keeping to around 1700-1800 calories, on average. Now I'm just stressing and depressed and frustrated and a million other things and not seeing HOW I'm suppose to get all the nutritional stuff I'm suppose to be getting with 1200 calories. On top of it all, it appears that our food stamps have been cut to $34 for the month - for the 4 of us. Want to tell me how I'm suppose to make ends meet with THAT? I have been trying to contact my caseworker (who is someone new ::sighs:: ) and have left several messages over the last 2 weeks for him. Finally got fed up leaving unanswered messages and tried to get through to his supervisor and... surprise! surprise! got her answering machine, so ended up leaving a message there too. If I thought they would see me on the spot, I'd go to the office and ask to see him, however they don't accept "walk in's" anymore, so all they'd do is make me an appointment and tell me to come back then. I may end up calling and making an appointment if I can't get through because this is ridiculous.
Wes is still waiting to hear about his disability claim. He had the hearing on February 1st, and they told him that he should hear within 90 days. Well, he heard from the lawyer today (90 days was up on the 1st!) and they tell him that it is now in a "post hearing". Well, since they don't mail out the hearing results til the last Friday of the month, we are going to have to wait another whole month before we find out what's going on.
SSSSTTTTTRRRESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS can you spell it with me, folks?
We had an argument with Rebecca earlier today - she's not happy. I'm not happy with her attitude, neither is Wes. She was hoping to be able to go to Massachusetts this summer to see her dad and brothers and friends. She was first flying to PA to see her Godmother, stay with her a few days and then hoping that her dad would buy her a ticket from PA to MA so she could fly up there, visit for a while, then go back to PA and her Godmother would fly her back to us. However, her father is unable to afford the ticket (which I can understand - he is having financial difficulties too and a new baby due in September that he has to prepare for) so she's upset about that. Not much I can do. However she's taking out her frustration and disappointment on the rest of us.
I've been going to the gym every other day... got in 60 minutes on Tuesday and 45 minutes in today. I also got in 30 minutes of walking yesterday, so I'm doing good in that respect. I had done well on my waters on Tuesday and Wednesday but really bad today. I'll do better tomorrow.
Anyways, heading to bed. It's almost 2:30 AM and I have to be up at 7 to take Rebecca to school.
Hope you are all having a good one!!

Wowsers! Your bad day yesterday puts mine in a little more perspective. Sorry you seem to be in such a rough spot right now. I still vehemently vow that you should not be eating 1200 cals and that without using the science of you and your body, that your docs are NOT being diligent and looking at YOU as an individual patient! Hang in there. We're here for you and with you! M. |
::hugs:: I hope things start to look up for you. Hopefully the turning over at Beltane this past Tuesday will bring some new, happy things your way. Take care. |
Unfortunely, She is just taking it out on the one's she loves!!! Those years aren't easy for kids.....they don't really understand what is going on. Willow, a few of us are curious, if we are running Sunday to Saturday how are we counting the first week as June 1st was on a Friday? Are we counting Friday and Saturday as our 1st week and starting again on Sunday? Or not officially starting until Sunday the 3rd? Thanks!!! |
