Friday and i'm so indescisive what I want for dinner. I want to eat at home, but what's to cook?
This week we've had beef broccoli, pitas with teziki sauce & salad, and green bean chicken.. and who knows what else. I can't think right now :) Friday stole my brain.
I have 2 ears of corn at home, left over teziki sauce, lavash bread, cheese (mmm cheese), pepperoni, ground beef, chicken breasts and chicken tenderloins (not thawed), ummm.. wheat bread, apples, deli meat, salad (iceburg/red cabbage), hrmmm... I've been so involved in baking stuff that I forgot to restock my fridge. That's normally what Friday fridge looks like anyway. I normally eat out on Friday. But then again I went through a period being away from CC where I binge drank 3 nights a week, which lead to binge drinkin. With this cake decorating I'm finally focused on a hobby which totally helps my 'wants'... I'm far from perfect.
2 more hours until I go work out. Woo elliptical and treadmill here I come!
5 more hours until I go HOME
6 more hours until I GET home. Kinda happy about my commute because I'm on my last audio book CD of Second Chance by Jodi Picolt. LOVE Jodi Picolt books.
Then I go practice my skills on cake decorating...
Ah I just wanna go home and relax.
We netflixed 2 movies that I'm not so much interested in watching. But since I'm such a nutcase lately, I figured Ezra could pick the flicks. You should know that kid puts up with a lot of my bullshit. Like yesterday for instance.
Story goes:
I was in the kitchen icing my cake and Ezra was in the shower. The air conditioning came on and my frosting started to stiffen up. Mind you, I have to frost this cake FLAT. And if you rub a spatula across hardening frosting you just get this clumpy mess of awful. So I started screaming HELP HELP SHUT OFF THE AIR! HURRY! Ezra jumped out of the shower all worried, and I was in a tizzy, and I told him SHUT OFF THE AIRRRRRRRRRRR! so he did. Then got back in the shower. If he did that to me, I'd be pissed :)
How does that kid put up with me? Hahahaha. I need to be nice.
Ah. Caffeine is awesome.
I don't know if I'm back in CC for good, or if I'm just dabbling to see if I can handle it. Not trying to get involved in the forums. Not trying to rain on anyones parade here. Just lookin for friends and support.

( small portions) tomorrow we will be better....... talapia is good baked with lemon and butter and garlic, I keep chicken breast on hand to throw on grill for healthy-- I eat salads when Hubby is working. I love concocting strange stir fry stuff also. |
Glad to see you back! I always look forward to your posts, even if I don't comment in them much. You are such an inspiration. My girlfriends and I are having a Vampire movie night. There's a list of the 70 greatest vampire movies of all time. We've decide to make twice-monthly Friday nights out of it, and just make our way through the list. All of the food is vampire-themed. Blood-orange salads, red velvet cake, deviled eggs, bloody marys, LOTS of dark, red wine, etc. It's not healthy, for sure, but I don't give a damn. Muhahaha! Have a great weekend! |
Ah....moment! I need to take back a video (LOL) Thanks for the reminder in your own way> For dinner tonight I had chicken and dumplings. A real easy recipe to make and inexpensive. One egg for each cup of flour for the dumplings. Bring to a cookie dough consistency. Cook the chicken boneless breast in water and it is easier to cut it up in small pieces before you do it. IT cooks faster. After that is boiled and cooked (I use about 3 cups of water to boil the chicken in) then add a can of low sodium cream of chicken soup. Easy and fast takes about 20 - 30 minutes. Take care and hope you come back > I need as much support as you do and what a better person to get it from other than a person who has already done the journey. No judgement here! Your second mom |
Baked potato with butter and too much salt (yum!), tortilla chps, sour cream and salsa, then half a bog 'ole jumbo tub of popcorn dripping in "butter"- we went to see The Hangover. |
Love U babes! Glad you are back - if only for a momento... Sushi was dinner last night... AH heaven..... |
Sounds like you have a good mate there! I would do a wonderful chicken salad with the tenderloins, make a dressing with the Tziki sauce and throw in a handful of nuts and enjoy! Good to see you again and glad that you are still here and even more glad that you successfully fought the battle, you look awesome! |
I go through the same drama every night... no idea what to do for dinner... I just came back to CC myself, so it's good to see you here as well!! Congrats on your partner... he seems to be very sweet... mine would be angry if I did the same!!! LOL Keep us updated.... love to read your journal! |
