All students or educators, please vote for my essay! Yeah, that was my college admissions essay, and normally I would feel to embarrassed to have something that personal read by masses of people, but I need that scholarship, so I'm willing to swallow it.
Right now I'm in 10th place, so I need to get a lot of votes... I need to start campaigning, aha.
It's times like these when I wish I were more popular :(
i wish i were a student, scholarship granting organization, or school counselor, but unfortunately not. i would definitely vote for your essay! it reminds me of a book i think you would enjoy called "stormy applause" about the struggles of the borodin string quartet under stalinist soviet rule. your point is well-made, and your writing is excellent!! i feel the same way, sometimes. i think often the crowd is just tired of sitting! maybe i'll go back and click on school counselor, and see if they ask me which school i work at....or not. did you post it on the forums, too? |
