My 13 yo daughter and myself recently became clients of one! Like 3 days before Thanksgiving 2006!!
It is now Dec. 10th and she has lost 8 lbs. As of Dec. 8th, I had lost 16 lbs!!
My metabolism seemed to be non existent. But, with the help of their approach to dieting, their herbal supplements and bars, drink mixes, etc. the weight is finally coming off!!
If anyone has any questions, I will be glad to answer them. I am still waiting on the plateau that they tell me may or may not come. But, they tell me they have their ways to push you off of the plateau!!
It is so exciting to go to bed at night and wake up 1 and 2 lbs. lighter every morning!! I had 99 lbs to lose and my daughter had 33, so that is where we started from!! If anyone else is on or has used this program, I would love to "chat" with you!!

COngrats to you for finding a program that seems to be working for you and for your daughter.
I am starting over again tomorrow...the same thing I seem to do every Monday...but as I say every week, this time is IT!! I want to do this, but I have no willpower and I seem to give in so easily. As always, though, I am determined to give it my all again tomorrow and really try to stay on track. I think I need to start writing in my journal...reporting my daily activities...maybe that will help me be accountable...I really think i need to be accountable to someone but there is no money for a program in my budget and nobody here to stay on track with...so I have to do it alone...
Thanks for the motivation!! I have 73 pounds to lose...and I would like to lose it by January 1, 2008...I think it is a reachable goal.

I just finally got so disgusted and I didn't know how to lose it on my own. I just wanted someone to say eat this and take that and then do this and you will lose weight!! Are you from Florida? If so, they have payment plans, etc., etc. I paid down and then bal. in 1 month. They had other options also. I don't know what about it makes it work, but it just does. I think their herbal supplement with hoodia in it is part of it. I have more energy, etc. now. I used to be ready for bed at 7:30PM, but now its more like 10:30PM!!
My husband is following along with us and not taking any of the supplements we are taking and he is losing also! Instead of their diet bars, etc. he bought the ones from South Beach diet brand. Believe it or not the hardest part for me is trying to drink 80 ozs. of water a day!! I hate water. Also, no diet coke or anything diet with color. Only diet 7-up/Sprite and diet ginger ale. I pour it in a champagne flute and pretend!! No alcohol either! I was a 3-4 glass a night chardonnay drinker!! Its weird, but I haven't missed it. I have had about 2-3 nights that I was about to have a fit for candy or pop corn or something like that! Chips and salsa, etc. It was usually when I would forget to take my "gold" pill that curbs the appetite though.
Well, I am new to this site. My daughter has been tracking her calories on here for some time, so she gave it to me today and I have been tracking what I eat since the diet started. Still have a week to input! Gotta go weigh in tomorrow.
Afraid I may be in trouble. This is a low/no sodium diet and I had sushi with brown rice and soy sauce!! I cheated and either I am retaining fluid or something because I usually see at least a lb. or almost a lb. in a 24 hr. period and I have stayed the same since the sodium overload!!
Good luck with your restart!!

dwilliams, congrats on finding something that works. I've already decided that when I am again in my own home, I will purchase one of the food plans, as for a single person, it's no more expensive.
Drinking water is an acquired taste -- LOL. you'll see a lot more benefits than just weight loss -- improved skin for one.

dwilliams,
that is impossible. You have probably only lost water. My advice is to follow the advice from people on here. Generally, the human body WILL NOT allow a weight loss of more the 2lbs of fat a week (unless you are under a very restricted diet and exercise program) no pills, bars , and herbal supplements are going to help you. Join us here on the right road. Eating less, eating heathier, and getting exercise. I am afraid there is no other way.
22lbs down (and it took me 3.25 months to do that)
htide
ps
those herbal supplements can be very very dangerous. That crap(and it is crap) that they market to lose weight is not regulated by the fda because it falls under supplements. It can cause all kinds if medical complications. Get off that program and join a gym. There are plenty in south florida. For you sake and the rest of your familes. we are all here for support. :)

Does this post strike anyone else as a tad commercial? The user's other posts seem to have the same informercial zeal. Seems a bit suspicious ...
I agree nicoley...
very suspicious.
very suspicious.
Bleah. New converts and Zealots of all types, religious, political, or nutritional, should be required to take a year-long vow of silence. If they can manage to keep up with their new obsession for a year and still be that enthusiastic, they may be permitted to speak. However, exclaimation points are strictly rationed. No using more than one at a time.
hahahahahahahaha.
agreed, jhealynyad.

I don't view it a commercial post. I believe that Dwilliams is excited about her success with that particular program.
Its great that this program is working for this person, my only concern is what is being taught to her teenager? I mean are they teaching her to eat right and choose good foods for a lifetime, or are they teaching her to take a pill(s) and become dependent on "packaged programs" to control her weight and such.
Thanks everyone! I am very excited about the program we are on. Not sure what a commercial post means when you come on here to share what might be a great weightloss thing with people who want to lose weight.
16 lbs. of water? OK............... Whatever. Try 4-5, which if you'd paid attention I mentioned was water loss I had in the first three days. : )
It's not impossible. That kind of thinking is what has kept me overweight these last 8 years or so. We are doing it and learning how to eat properly in the process. I don't really care who believes me. Pics will eventually prove it - ha. Anyone can go to my webpage that is on my profile and see that I am just an ordinary mom of three who started this program because I didn't know how to diet because exercising and how I was eating wasn't working. Plus my little girl was overweight and very unhappy. Even losing 8lbs. she looks so much better and feels so much better about herself. Jr. High can be brutal.
As far as prepackaged foods - my husband is doing the same thing with no herbal supplements and is losing also. The basic premise of the program is eating 4 to 6 small meals a day. I was not eating all day and then eating huge at night, so these supplement bars really help me since I am bad about not wanting to eat. Now when I do eat, two hours later I am hungry again, but not starving. Evidently my metabolism is kicking in.
And for the major buzz kills above - yes, they do include a teaching/maintenance course of 13 weeks to teach nutrition and maintenance classes. This doesn't include the three times a week we visit and the starting classes we did to begin with.
I don't put down other peoples methods as a general rule and I CERTAINLY don't without looking into the facts of the diet! One reason we chose this particular program was that it was highly rated on the internet and I found no bad reviews of gimmicks or anything like that. I am a big researcher and the only review that was anywhere near bad was that it was only based in S. Florida, so it wasn't widely available for the rest of the country!! Certainly hope it never goes to Canada! ha
Thanks again for the supporters.

D- I am very happy to hear that there are educational support that is also part of this program. YOu know we all wish you and your family the very best, and for some they may have been "sold" on some other program and just ended up back where they started after they left these programs because they did not receive the education on how to change their eating ways and gained all the weight again. Heck there are even some threads on here about people who had gastric bypass and gained back their weight cuz they never learned to correct the issue that caused them to gain weight to start with.
Once again - I didn't mean to get you on the offense - I was just expressing a concern since having heard of other "quick fix" programs and seeing commercials and such and am really glad to hear your program is not like that.

201.5 lbs today at weigh-in!! Started at 219.5, so its coming off!! 120-125 will be here someday!! ha
edit :(delete) : ) oops............
Hmm, well it does sound like an excellent program and I for one would like to see it in Canada, if it is that wonderful. :)
Dang girl! From the looks of your pics - you don't need to worry! Your a beautiful girl!
Now sure how long these centers have been in business. Maybe a franchise will be moving north soon! ha You never know. The jury is still out as far as my success. I am pretty much a skeptic, but so far things are going well. Not fast enough for me, but they say I am losing a little too fast at my weekly visits, so they won't tell me any "sneaks or tweaks" to take the weight off faster.
I know, I know. I don't need the do gooders on here telling me all the dangers of losing too fast. I've heard it understand it, but still one can be impatient and wish it!! : )
This last 30 lbs. I gained was all in about 90 days time after my colon surgery, so I figure that is why it is coming off quickly right now and things will tighten up at some point!

Wow! I thought this was a support board. Healthytide could you be anymore judgmental? I don't take herbal supplements, but I don't put people down for it either. If you are going to spout off that this and that is purely crap because it isn't approved by the FDA, then maybe you should backup your statements and also do some research on the wonderful world of the FDA.
Another thing, if this lady and her family choose a different diet plan than what you are on, so be it. Who are you to have the only right way to do things?
DWilliams, congrats on your weight loss.
