I hope I am doing this right....this should be a 2nd group of those who want a challenge to lose weight before Valentine's Day!

I didn't make the 10 but I have been very good about sticking with my diet which is more than I can say for any other time that I have tried. I am not giving up and will promise to increase my exercise which will hopefully get the scales moving again!

1-17-08: 134 Cool 2lbs down, 8 to go!

1-24-08: 133 Tongue out Not too bad, I cheated BIG TIME last night with cookies and mashed potatoes. I was at 132 earlier this week so I think the extra pound may be water and food weight. (At least that's what I'm telling myself! Laughing)

First time joining a challenge ! I think it'll motivate me!

Female, 21, 5'4, medium frame
Daily Calorie Intake: 1100-1200

CW: 137 (1/10/08)

GW: 127 (2/14/08)

UGW: 125

WeighIns:
W1 1/17/08: 137.5 .. +0.5 yikes
W2 1/24/08: 134 .. yay =) 7 to go!
W3 1/31/08: 133.5 .. been steady at this all week.. -0.5
W4 2/07/08: 132.5 .. -1 =) i doubt i can lose 5 by next week!! ahh!
W5 2/14/08: WELL, I have been weighing in at 130.5 since Monday this week, but yesterday I had a sore throat & drank a LOT of soup (well over my % of sodium for the day) & had a LOT of fluids (mostly tea) and OFFICIALLY weighed-in at 132 this morning. I honestly assumed this fluctuation would occur today, so I'm going with yesterday's weigh-in of 130.5 since I'm confident this is water retention.

Summary:
Starting Weight: 137
Goal Weight: 127
Ending Weight: 130.5

Total Loss: 7.5 ! only 2.5 short of goal :) Works for me!

I would also like to join this challenge. I am not sure how to navigate this site yet. I tried to start my own group but couldn't get it together. (Guide me)

Well I need braws but i refuse to buy them until i lose weight. lol. That can be my reward

I've never done a challenge before.. do we daily state our calorie intakes & exercise burns?

& how many people is good for a challenge like this? I'd assume the less the better =)

I've never done one either but I'm assuming we keep a personal log and report back our stats on thursday and support one another through the course ;-)
So do we come here for ideas and  strategies or just for weigh-ins?
We should pbly  leave it up to cjod, who started the thread!
