I have an ED. I'm 5'4 and 86-87 lbs. My Mom makes me drink this V8 fusion tropical blend (I think that's it) because my doctor said my glucose is low. I don't think sugary juice is the right way to go about raising it, but I don't know how to convince her of that. I have either an apple or banana daily, so it's not like i'm not eating fruit. I also always get veggies (even if it's only a few). Should I try to tell her to stop making me drink the juice, or should I just keep drinking it. (It's REALLY GOOD!) XD
i recovering from an ED too. and i drink v8 every morning. when i first started getting treatment i was on gatorade for my electrolyte imbalance.
V8 is a great way to go about it. its good for you. its not processed sugar, its natural, almost identical to the sugar in you bananas and apples. i know its hard to get past that number of sugar grams, but remember, its just a number, and a little sugar is necessary for the body to function right.
i think if the doctor is telling her to have you drink it then really you shouldn't question it. it's v8 not some overly processed juice from concentrate. fruit has a lot of sugar so fruit juice will have a lot of sugar. you eating too many fruits and vegetables will cause you to bloat and impede your ability to eat real food.
drink the juice and maybe eat dried fruit if you need to.
