ok, so i introdcd myself yeasterday and again ask your advice! my mum has offered to take me away for a few days to cornwall. i havent had a holiday for 5 years and would love to seeb our friends there. problem is, we'd be eating out all day every day, apart from breakfast, and they like to go to places offering scampi+chips etc!i'm frightened of the sudden change of diet. also, exercise would be at a minimum as my mum and our friends are 60+years old! for someone who over exercises, that is a hue hurdle to have to deal with.
i used to go every year and loved it. now im faced with happy times again..but have the stupid ed to consider.
any advice/input welcome

This would be an AMAZING oppurtunity to prove to yourself that you're better than any stupid ED. It's only a couple of days and you get to see some old friends, have fun, and LET GO! Be strong and you can do it. =) Let us know if you are!
I'd say just go for it. Just focus on trying to have a good time and maybe you will forget all about your ed. After all it's just for a few days.
You should definitely go!! Have fun, it'll be good for you & beat that ED voice. YOU CAN DO IT!
thanks everyone, you all really have made me smile. maybe i can do this. i still worry though - i'm a very 'clean'' eater and usually dont have chips/fried food. would 'indulging in them for 5 days have much of an effect/be ok?? i will try to pick as healthy/wholesome as possible but this wont generally be possible!
suzy-i eat ice cream everyday, so do lots of other ppl, 5 days will do nothing, if youre a daily weigher then you MAY see a gain from sodium that your body is not used to. eating new foods is such a good feeling, liberating, like ive accomplished something. good luck!
Go and enjoy yourself. Stop at the market and get some fresh veggies and fruits for one meal each day. You can eat clean again when you get back.
Enjoy.
I second everyone else - go and enjoy it! The weather here is brilliant right now so it'll be fantastic. :]
You might get a little retention from both heat and sodium, but just drink plenty of water and you'll be alright. I doubt you'd have to eat fish and chips every day, either; I bet there will be some amazing seafood places that don't involve batter! I went to Mudeford with my family the other day and it was great, and I didn't have to have anything fried, breaded or battered if I didn't want it. They were selling crab sandwiches, salads with various proteins, big plates of mussels among lots of other things, so it was hardly like I had "fried" or "more fried" to pick from. ^^ (They were even decent enough to cook mine free of all dairy, away from the butter and whatever else, it was awesome!)
And that's just at a little quay, so somewhere like Cornwall'll likely be decked out with awesome places to go. As for exercise... the restriction may do you good, and remember you'll probably still get to at least walk down the beaches with your friends and mum. :] Enjoy your trip - don't let the ED spoil your fun!
