Valentine's Day Gift Exchange

I was thinking how nice it would be for all us Calorie Count members to do a sort of Valentine's Day Gift Exchange.  Wouldn't it be lovely to recieve a little Valentines gift from another CC member and bring the whole Community together. 

I don't know if we're allowed to do this, but I'm sure the moderators will let me know.  If we can and maybe the moderators would like to take over the organising or allow me to.  I thought anyone who would like to take part in this, could comment below and then in a weeks time (5th Feb) I will private mail each person and tell them who their gift is for.  Then you can get that members address and send them their gift.

Sure. Such a post is allowed. :) (Though I don't know how many people are interested in joining.)

However, since the idea is yours, why don't you organize it? Get volunteers who choose to sign up? Pick names from a hat, etc.?

Not sure if I'm interested, but I think this'll give a whole new meaning to polyamorous relationships.

I'm not sure either. Would there be a price limit.. and sending chocolates wouldn't exactly be appropriate.. ha  I don't know.. I'll say maybe.

Fun idea and sweet.  I could try to think up a couple of lines of poetry for you- I think little gifts from the heart mean more than grabbing something from Wallies is better.  Photos are another possibility.  packets of seeds. Just the idea of reaching to each other is tremendous.  You have a great heart for even thinking of this.

I was thinking a fridge magnet from where the sender's from. :)  I have some from all over the world.. not that I've gone to any of them.. I just live vicariously through the magnets! haha

I think it would be very cool to exchange home made Valentine cards, or those dorky ones you used to cut out for your classmates in grade 3. 

Though I'd probably never actually get down to doing one myself.  Still haven't mailed my Xmas cards.

Maybe an electronic exchange, like this? Might work out better?

I think it sounds like a Great idea, even if we just post something Valentiney on this site.

I wouldn't be interested in giving out my RL address, but I might be up for PM'ing Valentines day wishes or sending an ecard, something like that?

I'm not interested in doing it, but if you really wanted to get it together, you could use www.elfster.com.  It's what my friends and I used for Secret Santa and was really great since there was absolutely no way of anyone "peeking" and it randomly assigned someone a Secret Santa.

Wow thanks for all the enthusiasm. I think I'll go somewhere, where I'm actually appreciated.  It looks like all people care about is eating disorders and "am I eating enough, I eat 800 cals a day"
