i eat 1500 calories when i'm sedentary, and 1700 when i'm active. i eat enough, and i eat well 90% of the time. the only possiblw problem i see is that i find myself eating alot of the same foods everyday. i eat these foods so often because i like them, they taste good, they're fairly healthy, and they easily fit in my calorie allowance. is it bad to eat alot of the same foods?

That definitely depends on what the foods are, if they don't cover your recommended servings for each food group then it is bad. Otherwise as long as you are eating enough, with the right stuff, it is not a problem. I would just suggest trying new things becuase you never know what you might like. Plus remember when people told you if you eat too much of something that you would turn into it? LOL!

its fine but your body can become very efficiant and you may wind up not loosing wieght, or so ive been reading. apperently if you calorie shift, which im assumoing is swich up what you eat every now and then, your body doenst know whats coming next and you will loose more weight

I've been eating yogurt and granola for breakfast every day for the past 3 years. Before that I ate melba toast, grapes, and cheese every day for breakfast for 8 years. I've been eating tomato salad every day for lunch, sometimes supper as well, for the past 2+ weeks. (Hey, what can I say, I'm a creature of habit.) If it's good for me and it fits within my meal plan AND I like it and want it, it's a win-win situation.

Variety is important if you want to get the best nutrition.  Taking vegetables, for example... they're all good in their own way, but there are different things going on in a carrot to what's happening inside a piece of broccoli.  Different nutrients, different benefits to the body.  Modern diets are already very limited.... we only eat a few types of apple, for example.   So it pays to branch out.

Most people find it more enjoyable to have varied diet than a repetitive one.  Variety is the spice of life.

i got very use to eating my fav foods, mostly veggies that i developed an ed and then they told me i needed like 4 times as much grains and 4 times as much protien a day as i usually got,  i just thought we could live mostley on veggies and fruits and a few other things but i guess it was not true,  but yes i still stick to bread cheese corn flakes and salad almost everyday its not a diet its just what i like, i struggle to eat the protien cause most of it i consider unhealthy or i dont like

completely agree! Also, eating the same thing will eventually get boring and you might find it more likely that you'll end up binging on unhealthy food.
