Veg - Too much too Oftan bad?
Hi there new to the site.
My question is is too much veg bad for you ?
Little about me:
I work as a Postie so active job and Train in MMA ( Muay Thai & BJJ 4 days a week) ( + 3 Sessions in the Gym ) , Coming off a injury so just starting to get back into trainning.
Im pretty good when it comes to Nurtion my diet is bang on. Protein carbs and Fats.
Proteins: Xtrea Lean Beef / Chicken / Egg Whites
Carbs: Basmati Rice / Oats / Wholemeal Pasta / Wholemeal pitta brreads
Fats: Almonds Cashews Flax Seeds
Supps: Many inc Fish oils
Veggies: broccoli - Carrots - Peppers - Brown/Red onions - courgettes - oberjean(sp)
Fruits: Banana's ( Some Apples )
Other: Green Tea / Dandelion Tea / (Not every day but 85& Coco Choc )
Tend to eat less fruit/more veg based on high amounts of suger.
Meals are simple:
Pasta Beef loads of veggies + low cal sause
Chicken with all veggies in pitta breads
Etc
My question is : Is eating lots of Veg per Day bad? I notice increase in Gas, And dont mean to come across as rude but my stools are not solid, but been told this is right, stools should'nt be like solid?
Any experniced peeps can comment?
Many thanks
Jim
Might want to talk to a doc. Veggies have fiber so if anything it should be more solid. If this is something recent look at what changes you made to your diet maybe your stomach is not agreeing with something in particular. Also define "a lot" for some people a medium bolw (2 cups) salad is a lot.

TBH what from research i have done it seems fine its not runny but not solid it good consestentcy and from what i read it shouldnt be solid like a log, Its Like a plasten/plastar paste. No pains or problems i go regulgy and with ease my main concern was its not Solid but from what i have read this is correct.
On a Daily basis i consume:
200-300G broccoli
2-3 Peppers
1 Brown onion
3 Red Onions
2/3 courgettes -
2/10's oberjean
2 Bananas and 1 Apple.
Kind of answerd my only question, I found some usefull posts on yahoo questions which was very informative.
Many thanks for your reply though mate.
Regards
Jim
no, your amount looks fine to me!
I eat lots of veggies too, simply because i love them since i was a kid!
if you aren't used to that much fiber, your body might need some time, but believe me, it is good for your health, your skin, everything.
also, your stool "looks" good! haha
dont worry!
:)
Your body will adapt. This is just new to it. It used to happen to me too, then my body figured out how to digest it properly. I wouldn't worry. Drink more water if it seems really watery so you don't dehydrate your body.
Are you from Nuremberg? lol
Anyway, I think the AMOUNT you describe is just fine. However, I tend to bloat / have more gas whenever I eat CERTAIN veggies (like, onions, of course).
Might be just certain vegetables that your body doesn't like. ?!

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
