Vegan Protein Meals???
anyone.....
chilli made with soy mince
lasagne with soy mince + soy cheese
tofu curry
egg free spaghetti with soy cheese sauce
really the possibilities are endless!!
but rememember, as a vegan, even beans are not entirely rich in all of the amino acids, only animal flesh offers the same building blocks in such mass.also remember that Seitan in wheat gluten protien, and agian, isnt complete, nor is peanut butter/nut butter.
but dont despair...
also there are vegan protien powders out there that are very good,
also look into sneaking complete protien in every avaible avenue, i suggest buying ezekiel bread, or french meadow bakery breads ( check your healthfood store if theres one near you) the french meadow people have vegan bagels with 14g of fiber and 20 grams of protien each.
i already enjoy ezekiels cold cereal, its alot like grape nuts, but im also very into healthfood. anyway....
another good grain for vegans is whole grain quinoa, as is buckwheat. They are complete protiens and would be great with beans, etc. They would be a totally complete meal.
I'm in the UK, and half of what you suggested I've never heard of..... do you have any internet links etc?
Do you have a Holland and Barrett near you? I'm pretty sure they have good vegan food ranges in most of their stores, even the smaller ones (: Generally health food shops tend to have a freezer and chilled cabinet that has vegan produce. Otherwise, as has been suggested - tofu is a good vegan protein, as are soy, beans and nuts.
There's a brand I know of called Cauldron that makes some really nice vegetarian alternative foods, and I think they are vegan friendly too but I'm not sure. Their products... Sainsbury's has the most varieties, but most large name supermarkets I've been in at least have a couple of things made by them. (: Hope this is helpful.

i know most whole foods markets, even in europe carry these brands, they are frozen, so they are able to be shiped everywhere. they are quite expensive, but i know the ezekiel bread is pretty reasonbly priced. many of my vegetarian freinds eat food for lifes breads to help add in protien.
Brown rice and beans are good. What one lacks the other has so its a balanced meal. I have it every day and it never gets boring cos there are so many beans and i add different vegetables.
I also make bean burgers in batches and freeze them and keep a big bag of dehydrated soya mince in the cupboard, but i'm vegetarian so i eat quorn alot too :)
