My husband and I have just switched to a vegan diet.  I was wondering if anyone knew of a good brand of vegan protein powder.  I used to use whey protein powder in an after workout shake, and I  would really like to find a good vegan substitute.  Thanks

Never mind! I just searched and found someone asking the exact same thing that I just asked in a previous post.  :-)

could you please link to that other thread? i can't find it.

just so you know, you really shouldn't have to worry about getting enough protein if you are eating lots of whole grains, beans and tofu.

protein is really on the bottom of the list of things to worry about getting. you should look more into b-12, calcium and omega fats. just a suggestion.

but from everything i've read, when building muscle it is really important to eat protein w/i an hour of lifting

The nutritionist at my work recommends "Spirutein" :)

For a vegan post workout protein boost, I love Clif Builder Bars...they are vegan and have 20 grams of protein...and I love the taste, especially Vanilla Almond and Chocolate.

I LOVE living harvest's hemp protien powder...

I guess rice protien is technically more nutricious, but FOR ME, I feel like the omega 3's in hemp help my concentration level :D if I get really low in fats- i can almost notice my own mental short curcuiting

i've heard vega protein powder is incredible.
