vegan/vegetarian recipe blogs

Quote  |  Reply

hey guys!

I've recently joined the vegetarian bandwagon, and I was amazed at how many vegan/vegetarian blogs on the web, featuring recipes posted by the blog authors... There are so many though, that i'm kinda overwhelmed just looking at some of them...

so i'm wondering whether you guys actually visit these blogs/websites and if so, which do you recommend! Maybe you can list the website, whether it's vegan or vegetarian, why you like it, and also the kinds of food that you typically prefer, so that fellow veg*ns with similar food interests will find the blogs helpful too! (:

Vegan Lunch Box - the author used to post every day but doesn't anymore, so you'll have to look through the archives.  She always packed amazing and cute vegan lunches for her son.

I just, as of today, discovered http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/

I haven't made anything from it yet, but I am going to!

I have also spent some time at http://www.vegsource.com/ (both vegetarian and vegan).

Usually I just look up recipes through google one at a time by searching for whatever I'm hungy for.

I second fatfreevegan and veganlunchbox and ALSO vegetariantimes.com- you can make an account and save recipes that you like.

Happy Herbivore is wonderful and healthy, and Vegan Dad looks like it would be great if you have kids in the house.
I have a blog that I've posted a few vegan recipes on, and I'm planning on adding more soon. You can check out the link in my profile.

I also like the blog Vegan Lunch Box,

I follow quite a few vegan blogs and I create a custom Google search engine for them.

If you like them, there's a button on the bottom right of the page that lets you add them to your Google homepage.

This is the homepage for my Vegan blogs search engine:

http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=00457247399 8059504306:ctr_aiwn_dg&hl=en

This is the homepage for my Vegetarian blogs search engine:

http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=00457247399 8059504306:l38hmjxtupq&hl=en

Here's how I use them.

I sometimes use it by ingredient (e.g., bok choy).

Yesterday I went on a picnic and looked up both "picnic" and "salads".

You can use anything you want to search, e.g., Lebanese, birthday, etc.

Feedback is welcomed.

my favorites:

1. eatair.blogspot.com

2. theppk.com/blog

3. blog.vegcooking.com

4. hezbollahtofu.blogspot.com

i used to keep one (cheapvegan.blogspot.com), but i never got any readers, and taking pictures of food proved to be not only a hassle but embarrassing as i'm a terrible photographer. so i deleted it!

cool! xD i've had a ball of a time going through all these sites... some of them i already go to (the veganluchbox) and some are new, but awesome!

I've got one that i like, and thought i'd share!  http://lovelikeavegan.wordpress.com/  it features a lot of desserts which i love xD

Marisa, I couldn't open those Vegan / Vegetarian search engines. Not sure what I was doing wrong!

I second the recommendation on the blog on fatfreevegan.com - Susan does an amazing job with it, and the site has tons of recipes.

101cookbooks is my new fave
