Vegetarian Basics 101

Quote  |  Reply

I see many young posters here wanting to become vegetarians. There is a big difference between a healthy vegetarian and an unhealthy one. I wanted to share some resources I found when I became a veggie back in 2006. I still have them bookmarked and refer to them often. I hope they help anyone who is interested on how to become a healthy vegetarian!

Being a vegetarian is not easy, but it gets easier when you educate yourself on proper nutrition. Don't be afraid to tell your friends, family and co-workers that you are a vegetarian. Come prepared to parties & bbq's with your own veggie dish! Once you understand the balance needed between protein, carbs and fat you will be on your way to a very healthy and delicious diet!

Thanks for reading!!! Laughing
