rasschel there are so many delish vegan things for your fix.  There is silk brand soy yogurt and it's good.

Vegan no bake cookies, vegan chocolate pudding cake (seriously look it up and make it) TOFUTTI CUTIES!

It is not too hard, you just need to adjust a little!  Good luck and if you need any tips lemme know - I've been vegan for several years now and I got a million recipes, meal ideas, and the brands of the good stuff vs the gross stuff

WARNING: LONG POST! Laughing

ravanola is right about good vs gross... for example, the White Wave and Silk soy yogurts are delicious, but Nancy's Soy Yogurt is practically inedible without the addition of all kinds of unhealthy things (sugar, mainly), and even then, the texture is terrible.

Being vegan AND not eating too many tempting snacks is actually harder now than it was when I became vegan 15 years ago... so many vegan treats and snacks to choose from! There's even a vegan donut shop nearby!

Dark chocolate (watch out, a lot of them have milk in them... sneaky sneaky) is easy to find and A LOT more satisfying than milk chocolate, so you'll be fine there.

And although I can't cook a decent meal to save my life (so I end up eating a lot of raw or super-simple-to-make meals), I do bake on occasion, and I guarantee you that homemade vegan baked goods WAY outshine anything you can buy in the store. Seriously.

So, don't worry. You can do it. And your reasons for wanting to become vegan are obviously important to you, so it will be easier than you think to resist the non-vegan stuff.

Every once in a while, I'll crave something like salmon (I'm 1/4 native american and I think salmon eating is practically genetic programming for me) or scrambled eggs. But if I look at my diet for the previous couple days when I have a craving like that, I always find I've been short on oils or fats or (usually) proteins. And the cravings are more like wistful thinking than cravings, and are easy to resist.

Actually, I don't feel like I've really given much up at all, since I can find or make a good vegan version of just about ANYTHING. So do ask ravanola or me if you can't find a vegan version of something. We'll help.

It'll be easier than you think. And you'll be making more than just your taste buds happy. Good luck. Hope we'll hear from you soon!
