Very hungry days for no reason
Once in a while I get days where I eat everything in site.
1) It can happen any days through out the month. TOM is not the factor.
2) i drink enough water
3) I take vitamins
I usually eat 1,600-1,800, but during hungry days i eat 2,500-3000 and I get them once every two weeks?
WHY??? I feel the hungry days are sabotaging (spelling?) my weight loss.
The same thing happens to me! I can't possibly be hungry, but all I want to do is eat. I don't know why it happens, but the only solution I have found that works is to get busy with something to get the food off my mind.
i tried that but i can't keep busy the whole time, especially night time..with just me and the fridge
I also have those days, infact tonight is one of them. Drinking a lot definitely helps!! The problem with that, though, is that then I have to get up in middle of the night to use the bathroom ussually more than once. I HATE when I dont sleep through the night!!
you may want to consider what you are eating as a possible cause. Do you have enough protein? Enough carbs? Do you have lots of filling fiber in the guise of fruits and veges? Are you eating whole grains and legumes?
Are you exercising a LOT?
I've found that (even though I exercise for 60-90 minutes every day) on days when I exercise REALLY hard, the following day is a hungry day for me.
Although 2500 calories sounds like an awful lot to me.
i try to eat enough protein and carbs. I have been exercising intensely though, that can be the reason. I eat whole grain eveyrthing
now im afraid to exercises intensely
I dont know- I find that I eat less and have less of an apetite when I exercise more. A double benefit!! To bad my foot has really been sore from using the treadmill for the last few weeks making it extra painful to walk on it. But I feel so much better on days I work out, it lets off so much steam!!

There are going to be days when you get hungry, but you have to power through. It is just one day.
Have you tried buying a HUGE amount of something low-calorie? I can often fool myself by making cabbage sliced and cooked like noodles and covered in pasta sauce. I can eat a giant bowl for only 200-300 calories. And I mean giant, like a whole head of cabbage.
So maybe something like that.
I shudder to think what a whole head of cabbage would do to my stomach! lmao!
I’ve been like that for the past couple of days. I felt as though there was a black hole inside of me! Luckily I’m back on track again today. I can only assume that it was as a result of immense stress because I usually don’t react like that to food. Anyway I agree with tealparadise - having something filling like soup will give the fullness without the guilt.
On days like that, even a mountain of cabbage won't satisfy me. My stomach craves for the worst food. to lessen the damage, instead of eating chocolate bars i drizzle chocolate syrup on rice cakes.
Do you still have a lot of processed foods? I know when I eat too much processed stuff, I get an addiction and want to eat more junk even when I've had enough calories. I'm not saying cut out all fun food, but make sure it's limited.
Or maybe you already are and I way off here :)

i completely, totally had that yesterday!! no way!! i thought i was just going thru a growth spurt or something so i kind of poured a huge bowl of cereal and ate. my personal opinion is, calories are energy, you're hungry when you need more, just eat when you're hungry and make sure to be careful the next day. there's nothin' wrong with cheating a little!
