roast, in the oven, with lots of carrots and potatos. mmmm

My youngest is a budding actress, I think. She really seemed to get into the role yesterday.

Funny story. One of the mom's at the play yesterday asked me if I was "sure" I didn't want to pitch in for teacher gift. (Thought I had!) So I pulled out a $20 - all I had - and apologized for not getting it to her quicker, explaining that it was probably an oversight.

She pocketed the $20 (very quickly I might add) and said thanks! No offer of change, nothin! That had better be one good gift! SUUUUCCCKKKKEEERRRR!

Aw well, they are giving the gift today and I will be there to see what it is!

Hm...if we have hippos in tutus...doesn't that mean we need alligators, too?

well, i'm also looking for a cheap party food  :-)  roast sounds good but a bit of work and a bit on the "fancier" side.  this is a beer and chips type of party :-)  like last time i just filled the crockpot with meatballs and sauce type of a thing
