well, i'm also looking for a cheap party food  :-)  roast sounds good but a bit of work and a bit on the "fancier" side.  this is a beer and chips type of party :-)  like last time i just filled the crockpot with meatballs and sauce type of a thing

hmmm...pulled pork. thats easy. you just toss it in the crock pot all day, tear it apart with a fork and knife and smother it with BBQ suace. ta da! lol

Lily:

Well...chips, then. :D

You could also do the roast in the crock pot.

mmmm that might be good!

need more than just chips ;-p

 Yum. :)

i have a big extended family and we do pulled pork quite often, everyone likes it.

Lily, Frozen ravs and red sauce is easy and filling. Or you can try spaghetti and sauce. Jars of sauce with added ground beef and sauteed mushrooms, onions. Add some garlic bread and your set!

i haven't done pulled pork yet.  just toss it in the crockpot with what all day?  broth?  then drain, shred and add sauce?

Alright, I've got a meeting to attend.

May be back later; we'll see.

*plonk*

are they pot-bellied hippos?

because that would be kick ass.

and i think i have a pork roast already in the freezer that i can just take out today.  that might be perfect

uhhh...i haven't watched too closely when my dad does it, but im pretty sure he just throws in water with some bullion in it (basic broth) you could use beef broth from the store too tho, but thats kinda pricey where i live. Cover it so it doesn't get dry, add water as needed. And then at the end of the day just take a couple of forks and start shredding it. Then add whatever sauce you like. Google it to be sure. :)
