What was your victory dance worthy moment today?
It doesn't have to be something truly amazing like running 15 miles in the snow although that does deserve a pat on the back or two. But it can be as simple as saying no thank you to a second glass of wine, not finishing your meal/dessert, dodging the candy isle at the grocery store, not grumbling when you can't find a close parking spot because the walking will do your body good...you get the picture.
So what was your victory today? big or small...it still is a victory!
Reason: 11/10/08 stickied for a week. 11/17/08 unstickied.
Mine was resiting leftover halloween m&m's in the breakroom @ work...luckily I was smart enough to plan ahead and brought a kashi dark choc/cherry granola bar.
And I made myself go run after work even though I really didn't feel like it.
I work in a law firm and once every two weeks the lawyers buy us lunch - this week was Kelseys, which doesn't have anything on their menu under 750 calories and 40 grams of fat - so I didn't order.....anyway, my victory for today was being brave enough to be able to bring my own lunch and eat it in front of everybody and not care what they think (somebody actually felt "sorry" for me and tried to get me to take 1/2 their lunch if you can believe it!)
My victory for the week is not yet having eaten even one piece of halloween candy, despite having two kids and being surrounded by it all week!
Yahoo for me and everybody else who had a victory today!!
Today I stepped on the scale and was 2 pounds lighter after a month long plateau! :)
not eating all the candy from my bag... LOL i got chocolate from my professor today and I only ate like 2 ^^ funsize twix and mnm
My victory for yesterday was saying no to the fruit punch, homemade bread, jam, chocolate milk and chocolate chip cookies that my classmates handed out after their presentation, which to make matters worse was right before dinner time. But I didnt give in!!
This morning I wore a new pair of size 14 pants to work instead of my baggy size 18s ![]()
I reached the half-way point in my weight-loss journey...a major milestone if I say so myself...which I do. Oh I might add that the family ordered pizza last night and I stuck to my grilled chicken salad.
My dance worthy moment was working out yesterday when I wanted to take the day off..not only that but it was the Jillian Michael's shred video and I did all 3 levels the first time I tried it. That was pretty awesome. Haha. Almost died and was swimming in my sweat but I did it! LMAO.
I guess my dance worthy moment for today is if I can work out again, I've been feeling pretty depressed/blah lately...I guess if I don't work out it isnt the end of the world and it will be dance worthy if I don't kick my a** over it if I dont.
I picked up a pair of size 22's that I was wearing at some point last year and my mom took a picture of me holding them up.
That was the best victory moment I think I've ever had.

You GO Girlfriend!!!!
You're gorgeous!
Congrats!
we should all do a victory dance for rebepi! amazing job!!!
Last night I had dinner @ Mexican restaurant I only ate half of my burrito, didn't gorge myself in the chips and queso, didn't order a margarita, and didn't eat any of the guacomole...
I did however have the sour cream...tehe
After i took this admissions test thing, there was a HUGE table full of juice and cookies and while everyone was taking many cookies and juice, i didnt take one of them!! yay:]
No way!!! I cannot believe that you fit into those pants. WOW!! You look fantastic and must feel fabulous. Congrats!
Oops ... that last post was directed to Rebecca.
My victory dance would be that I upped my elliptical for today. I did 67 minutes ... 1,150 calories. It was tough!
wow 67 minutes! great job!
Today I ran 3.6 miles in 43 degree weather.
and I baked my first sweet potato ![]()
I ran for 45 mins on the treadmill without slowing to a walk today (for the first time). Reached my new goal of 7 km!
pushing out one more set of tricep curls with a 15lbs weight, and squeezing 10 more sit-ups! But, in truth, the "dance" is more like a slow hoppy jump, with out moving the upper body at all!
Today I started from scratch, reminded myself that I'm worth it, and will eat within my planned calorie range. :) I also took my peppy pooch for a walk in the cold, wet weather because it's not fair for my laziness to affect her too.
Hecks yeah! It looks like there is a lot of success going on here!!
I started at 250lbs and today I weighed in at 178lbs!! And someone called me "skinny" today! What a feeling!
I went to a pub with coworkers. They all had beer, burgers and fries, I had a soda with lime, beef-vegetable soup and a garden salad. I felt satiated, they went on about feeling like pigs.
