Victory is mine! [Post your successes]

Quote  |  Reply

Post one of your most recent or most exciting succeses. Whether it's 1.5 lbs lost last week, your longest run, your new size, your new confidence, being able to fit into your favorite jeans, discovering a new recipe, etc. Any achievement you have at all! I think it's fun to read people's most recent successes and it really motivates me to keep going!

In a most recent success, I've finally lost my first 5 pounds. Woohoo!

After a month to month and a half of nothing moving on the scale, I finally broke the dreaded plateau. I went from 157.8-156.6. Yay!

I had 2 small victories this past weekend. I started at 237 lb with a goal weight of 197 lb (trying to lose 40 lb). I started watching everything I eat and working out almost every day starting June 1. My first mini goal was to get below 230 before July 1st and this past Saturday I weighed in at 229.3 lb. It felt great! That motivated me to try on a shirt my wife had bought for me a few months ago but was a bit to tight fitting and accentuated my pudgy belly but I tried it on and it actually looked pretty good so I wore it to dinner with my family. I've also noticed some definition in my arms and shoulders thanks to the exercises I've been doing so I am really excited about the progress I've made so far.

Congrats to everyone's successes!

Mine is a confidence related victory!

I sing with a cover band, and we had a gig last weekend, and I usually don't feel that cute because our other singer is a gorgeous blonde, but this Saturday, I actually felt pretty hot!  It was great to have that kind of confidence on stage!

Love successes and focusing on the good rather than the 'bad'.

Yesterday's success....decline pushups off a bench...three sets with the last set going to failure of 32.  Love the pump!

Yay for everybody. Isn't this path exciting? My successes so far... Down 50.5 lbs! It took 9 months. I ran my first 5K race and placed 6th in my age group. (granted there were only 6 in my age group, it still sounds cool if you don't say that part. LOL) I am happier than ever!!!

Great job on the bike ride. Great job on the 5K. How did you start? I'm guessing that you had to work up to it. I just decrease my weight from 160 to 154.4. I think I'm going to shoot for a Breast Cancer 5K race next year. Right now, fifteen minutes on the eliptical is tough, but I'll get there. Thank you all for the motivation.

It feels good to read your successes!

I feel stron too. Have been doing well diet-wise which also makes me less grumpy overall, lol. eating ehalthy, walking more, losing lbs.

It is so great to read all of your victories!

I am just at the beginning of the journey.  I started 8 days ago, but I think it's going well.  I have lost 2 inches on my waist (I don't have a scale, so I don't know how much weight I've lost).

Thanks for sharing everyone :)  I am so inspired.

Today I accomplished something that truly opened my eyes.

Even though I've been busting my butt at the gym for over a month now and taking care of what I eat, I felt like I hadn't been doing so great because I only lost 2 pounds within that month.

I joined CC just yesterday and already I feel like success is within my grasp. I can't say how happy it makes me to see good grades :P

However, after reading a thread on trying on old, tight clothes, I decided to take my "skinny pants" out of the closet. They're a beautiful pair of black Tripp pants that my parents got for me about FIVE years ago and I have NEVER been able to wear (the tag is still on them!). I didn't expect them to go past my butt but, miraculously, I got them on. I EVEN GOT TO BUTTON THEM. I'm still grinning!! I get an outrageous muffin top with them, but it's a step forward!

I can now definitely see myself wearing them in the near future and then having to stop because they're too big! :P

Supermotivationboost is GO!

That's so awesome!!!  Congrats on getting into those skinny pants!

My husband turned my skinny pants into his gardening pants :)  I can't wait to reclaim them, even if they are all stained, I just want to be able to get back in them (and then maybe I'll go get some new ones, he's really made a mess of my old jeans).

You go get those pants back, they're YOURS afterall! XD

I've seen it a couple times on here, but having to add another hole to my belt so it actually held my pants up really made me feel good.

Also, in the same week, I was able to complete an entire P90X workout without having to pause it for extra breaks. (heading into week 4 now)  That was a huge confidence booster, knowing what I'm doing is working, and working well.

Whoa, that is a major feat!  I'm doing the P90X as well and am on week 4 and let me tell you, it's not easy for me to even make it through half an hour, maybe 40 minutes!  Woo hoo to you!

At the end of last November I weighed 217 pounds (I'm 5'6) and couldn't walk up the stairs without breathing heavily

Today I weighed in at 162 pounds, a 55 lb weight loss. I am very active, joined a baseball league, go to the gym, and hate just "sitting around" now. I feel like a brand new person.

As of today I have successfully changed my eating habbits for 2 full weeks!  I have lost 5.5 pounds, and even more exciting for me, I have lost 4.5" around my waist!

My current goal is to get my waist to around 33".  I started at 43.5, and today I am 39".  So I am 42% of the way there!  I can't believe it.  I'm almost half there!

I know the first few weeks is water loss and stuff, and then it slows down, but I am still really excited and proud Cool

i was at this amazing greek restaurant today to pick up my chicken souvlaki - great in protein, no dressing, and no feta.  i was standing in line to pick up my order, and in front of me is a stack of chocolate chip m&m cookies the size of my face.  i wanted one soooooooooooooooooo bad.  it was practically begging me to take one.  but, i resisted.

so proud :)

I think I should give myself come credit. We had a Fourth of July FEAST at my house, but I successfully avoided cupcakes, pizza, ice cream, candy and other junk. Didn't take one bite even though I was oh so tempted, and I stayed withen my limit. :)

I simpley love this topic

Well my latest sucess story would be that since 5th May (2 months) I lost a totall of 25lbs... if I did it every 1 can :)

i have managed to eat reasonably when being with my family that was constantly offering me unhealthy foods, making LOTS of fun about my foods (yes i use a bigger percentage of vegeatbles for a recipe than is usual. that is one of the 100 reasons why i am losing weight. modyfying recipes is not something that is soo funny. well, they did not get their way - i continued eating the healthy way)

Wow!Thats great to hear.Congrats at last you made it!Keep it up.
