Victory is mine! [Post your successes]
Post one of your most recent or most exciting succeses. Whether it's 1.5 lbs lost last week, your longest run, your new size, your new confidence, being able to fit into your favorite jeans, discovering a new recipe, etc. Any achievement you have at all! I think it's fun to read people's most recent successes and it really motivates me to keep going!
In a most recent success, I've finally lost my first 5 pounds. Woohoo!
Reason: 6/20/09: Stickied for a short time, thanks! 7/28/09: Unstickied
Wow I didn't realize so many of you would reply! This is so fun to read; I love going through these! :) :)
I just wanted to add that most recently I spent some time moving and went off my diet. While I didn't lose any weight, I didn't gain any either... which made me happy and surprised! I can continue right on my path without having to re-lose the same weight yay! :D
I have to add my recent victory since I started CC 2 months ago. It's been slow, I've lost at least 6.5 lbs so far. But I've learned to kick the scales and stick to my measuring tape...I've lost so far:
Bust from 41" to 39"
Waist from 35.5" to 33"
Stomach - gut from 43" to 38.5"
Hips from 43" to 43" - nothing lost :(
Woot! Working out works!
Workout routine:
30 Day shred - Level 2 Day 1
Taebo 20 minutes to 45 minutes every day depends on how much time I have
10-20 minutes Pilates
lost several more lbs recently.
no overeating for a long time.
started some craft projects. relaxing and healthy. and cheap:)
Today I tried on a size 22 (UK) shirt and it fitted! Its a little snug around the bust, but I am amazed! I was a size 28 for a longggg time, so I know Im doing something right!
Ive had lots of comments about my weight-loss recently-the only problem now is the skirt I wear as part of my uniform for work is literally going to slip off me soon & the smaller size I ordered around a month ago is nowhere to be seen! ![]()

It is so great to read all of your victories!
I am just at the beginning of the journey. I started 8 days ago, but I think it's going well. I have lost 2 inches on my waist (I don't have a scale, so I don't know how much weight I've lost).
Thanks for sharing everyone :) I am so inspired.
Don't get a scale! Everything I read says the measuring tape is a much more accurate reflection of weight loss, and it's so easy to get obsessive about weighing in every day. Just keep on with what you're doing and monitor how your clothes fit and avoid the whole "I'm only down 0.2 pounds this week" blues.
This sounds like a strange success, but it feels like one to me. I haven't been excercising as much as I was (not so good, but anyway) and even with that, the scale has still be slowly going downward, so at least I'm keeping eating in check! Also, because I'm coming so close to the end, I'm not losing as fast as I was, but I'm still keeping my spirits up!
I was about 155 and climbing last Dec. due to a new office job (I used to be in construction, and was pretty fit!) I struggled to keep the weight down but my commute is long, and I had insomnia too. So my morning workouts became less and less as I tried to make up for lost sleep in the morning. By night, I was exhausted. No energy. Cranky, and stuck with a muffin top!
But I haven't given up. I got the 30 Day Shred from Jillian Michaels because it was only 20 (very hard) minutes long and I didn't need anthing but a mat and hand weights. I stuck to it for 3-4 months, just trying to get back in shape. It worked, and I had lost 5 lbs and felt better. But it still was slow going, and my insomnia was killing me. I had started drinking at night to relax in order to go to sleep, and I didn't want that.
Then my doctor gave me Trazodone for my insomnia, and pretty soon I was sleeping almost normally. Much easier to get up in the morning and do workouts! Then, I cleaned up my diet and started dedicating myself to logging on CC.
Now I'm 145, getting good rest, NOT drinking to sleep, doing yoga for stress release and spiritual quietness, and just started the Banish Fat Boost Metabolism by Jillian. I also have her No More Trouble Zones, and will start that this weekend.
I feel like a million bucks. My clothes are starting to feel loose, my fiance is calling me "hey skinny!", and I have so much energy. My arms are getting ripped again, and my tush is tiny! My goal is to get to my "fightin" weight of 135 by my 40th birtday in September, by then I hope to see some abs.
Never give up!! Never settle!!

Oops. I did end up getting one :)
I have noticed that the inches lost are much more motivating than the number on the scale going down. I also like that my clothes are loose.
I've been measuring all my food and excerising three times a week for 3 weeks now and I've lost 5 inches on my waist! Sometimes I can't believe it and I check, recheck, triple check.... It's still true. 5" gone.
I weighed myself in at 148.4 today, woohoo I'm finally in the 140s! :)
I finally began loosing weight! I know it doesn't sound like much but I lost 2 pounds in one week... more than I have this whole time I've been on calorie counter! The downside is I have the stomach flu :( I can thank the nausea for most of the weight loss!
Congratulations to everyone! I've been so inspired by y'all! Makes me want to go ride my bike, or horse, or at least run!
Not a big sucsess but for the past 2 month ive binged on bread/pasta/chips/cereal daily, after relising ive gained 14lbs today i never binged at all! infact i didnt eat any of the foods i usually binge on!
New on caloriecount.... hope it helps to reach my goal. =)

I still will do a hand check on my belly once in a while--like somewhere down inside me I still expect to wake up and find that I am back at my heaviest weight! Congratulations on the 5 inches lost :<)
I just wanted to throw it out there that since January I have lost 45lbs!! I've been doing weight watchers/Calorie count and I think that the biggest thing to get me was health. I eventually want to have kids some day, and I am truly terrified of all of the problems that can arrive from not being healthy. I'm still not at my goal weight, but I have officially met my half way point and have surpassed it (by a lil) Keep up the good work everyone and know that your worth it.
Something that really stuck with me was this,
Yes, Healthy food can cost more...But Doctors bills cost a heck of a lot more then that!!!!
Another lil shout out, is I just jogged about 2 miles outside with out hardly any trouble, and finished 4.4 with only walking .5 of it! Woo!
Iam a size smaller now at 22 than i was at 13. :) That feels pretty good. Also i think for the first time in my life i'm not overweight. My mind doesnt seem to agree but im getting there.

I'm exactly in the same boat! Right now I weigh less then what I did at 13(I'm also about 22 ) The thinking does take awhile to change though. Keep up the good work, and unfortunetly maintaining does take some effort. Remember your beautiful at any weight!
i keep losing lbs AND eating healthy AND doing some walking. this ebough is my success
I have hit the 50 lbs lost mark today. after about 6 months

Awww, Olivia, that was great! I think this is the first time I've heard someone on here say anything along the lines of "Remember your beautiful at any weight!" Very sweet of you! For some reason, that kind of made my day...
