Vietnamese Food...Yay or Nay?
Does anyone have any idea how many calories are in Vietnamese food? I had grilled chicken over rice noodles today...lots of veggies (cukes, bean sprouts, lettuce, carrots, etc) and rice noodles. The sauce/dressing seemed pretty light. Mostly vinegar but I saw a few little droplets of oil. I tried logging each discernible ingredient by itself, but I have no idea if it was a good choice or not.
I would log it separately too. Vietnamese food is always a good choice. ![]()
Yeah, I'd agree that generally Vietnamese is good. I always go for the Vegetarian Pho and it's fairly low cal, and ssooooo good!
and they're LOADED with sodium.
I don't eat anything with "sauces", pho is broth-based.
Mmmmm pho.. A little place down the street from me does a mean spicey chicken pho.. I could eat it every day!
How would you log pho?
There is a pho in CC, I've used it before... not sure how accurate it is though if you are getting it at a restaurant.
Mmmm.... I had brought a healthy curry lentils and chicken dish for lunch today, then my buddy called and invited me for vietnamese... Yummy.... grilled pork with rolls on rice noodles!!! I couldn't stop and ate the whole bowl. I'll have to work extra hard tonight to burn this off... ha ha....
does anyone have an approximate calorie count for a rice noodle bowl with meat, veg, and spring rolls?
