My Virtual Model - doesn't look right?

Quote  |  Reply
has anyone else noticed that the MVMs look great no matter what weight they are??????  i mean....i entered my height and weight and NO WAY do i look like that!!  and then i tried my starting weight, which was 10 pounds heavier, and she still looked fantastic!

maybe my perception is just skewed....?

where do u go to do a virtual model????..............also lol I think the models don't necessarily put weight on like most people do I mean its proportioned on the models i've seen...........but for me my model should have extra weight on the thighs and stomach which is most likely not how they'll show it ...........know what i mean?
lolllll i wanna look like my virtual model!!!!!  she's got like a SIX PACK!!

btw, i think it's just myvirtualmodel.com
Uhh..yeah.  The virtual model has no fat rolls, bulges or anything.  Yeah right!  At least 80% of people are not shaped like that.  I think it gives people false promises of what they will look like at their goal.
yeah well they call 'em models for a reason. I was messing with one too and at like 300 pounds, she was smooth....
I made mine set to 350 lbs after seeing the no rolls-no celulite or bulges thing.  Even after adjusting the size with the plus sign to the biggest it could be, it still looked much better than anyone overweight would.  Though, it does adjust correctly size wise- it's just not as realistic without the folds/bulges/ect.
It depends on what body shape you give her. An hourglass looks more porportioned (sp?) than an apple or a pear.
maybe i should just print it out and blow her up real big...and glue it on to my mirror =p
I have rolls that this model doesnt.......  She is just round!!!! No creases, Stretch marks ect..... Its for your brain to focus on.....goof focal point though!

notalone~~ Im gonna do that, not a bad idea!
Seriously, where's the roll at her waist that is so obvious on me?  Where's the extra bulge at the arms because my fat loss hasn't caught up to my muscle gain yet?  If I really looked like that I'd be a freaking plus size model somewhere!

It's a good thing I like myself and my body how it is now - every new phase is a good one for me :-)
I totally agree, that's why I deleted mine from my profile!
nyc~~~ I keep mine on there because its my hope that I will reach 175 again one day!!!!!!
Mine definitely didn't have the lumps and cellulite of a normal person of my size...
I've been thinking - they should have a version of the model that you can enter measurements for specific areas.  IE - thighs/hips/waist/chest etc.  THEN they'd look closer.  They still wouldn't have the rolls or hanging parts... but closer.

LOL!
lolllllll robynanne that reminds me of this football video game my boyfriend has...where you can add fat on the players to the butt or to the belly or arms using this little sliding bar....i could spend hours doing that...
also have you noticed that once she reaches a certain weight she doesn't seem to get any skinnier, like if I put 140lbs and 120lbs it looks exactly the same to me!
*lol*... too funny!... and if you MAKE her 350 pounds at one point in time... and lower her to 140 she SURE doesn't look right, either... doesn't she know that the skin is still there...

maybe our virtual model has plastic surgery at ALL weights!!!
Mine had smaller hips and a bigger waist than I do in real life, so all the proportions looked a little off because of that. But otherwise, it wasn't too far off the mark.
Oh, I completely agree with that. The virtual models.. the heavier they are.. they just get wider in proportion.. they still look GREAT. I've found it hasn't been a great motivating tool for me.
I love my virtual model! I look at her and think, "I look great- I don't need to lose weight! My perception (and mirror) is clearly distorted!"  :-)  Whenever I need a boost, I look at her and think that, size 12 or not, I am one sexy chick! lol
my model looks fatter than I do in real life.
