Virtual Self-Images?

I've seen a few users with virtual pictures of themselves - what they hope to look like at a certain weight or what they look like now.

Where did you get these from? I tried a forum search and a Google search and didn't come up with anything.

I want to try it!

It stands for "my virtual model" and you can enter your stats and get a current image, or enter your goal.  It also lets you "try on" clothes at some online stores, etc.

How do you get it onto your profile?

rrgh... I think you email it to yourself (there's an option to at most try-on sites, so pick Lands End or something with swimsuits) and then just put it up like any other pic.

To get a screenshot you can open paint, press the print screen button next to f12, and then in paint press ctrl+p to paste the screenshot. then you can crop it as you see fit.

tracy- Alt+PrtSc will just snap the active window, if you don't want a shot of your entire desktop :)

well, that's it, ~picking up the phone to register for computer classes~ I'm tired of not understanding anything, I'm pc iliterate (besides bad spelling) And I don't know half of the buttons on the keyboard. haha

More fun with computers (if you're running Internet Explorer and Windows):

The little window key + D will minimize all your windows and get you to your desktop quick (good for when the boss walks by)

If you're typing in a website address to Internet Explorer, just type the main part of the name and hit Ctrl+Enter.  MSIE will fill in www. and .com for you.

lol, I'm an expert in getting fast to the desktop. KK is always looking over the shoulder. I know the basics. It's just I don't know what all the extra (ESC, F #s, and basicly the whole part between the alphabet and the number part (in the middle between the both) are for.

Wow, I'm always so irritated that I can't find a way to "show desktop" with one click on my home pc - without the mouse is even better!  (I'm a keyboard person - don't like to take my hands off the keys to use the mouse in general.)  That's fabulous, thanks!

Macs will solve allll your problems! I'm a reformed PC user, and I wouldn't go back if you paid me! :)

Just cause all decent graphics software is for the Mac... I know, I gotta add one to my fortress of geekitude.  Next project is a Linux box, tho.  I like that I can customize my PC more than I could teh Mac, although I hven't played with OSX much yet.

Also, poohb, in teh little system tray right by your start menu is a thing that looks like a desk blotter and will get you to the desktop in one click... but I'm a keyboard person too, and I love me a shortcut.

ohmygoodness saroful!  you call yourself a geek?  and you aren't running any linux yet??? pshaw!  i've got a dual hard drive laptop and it dual boots into linux and windows.. i need the windows for WOW but i'm mostly in linux.. hehe.. of course my hubby is crazy about linux.. runs most of his business on it.. and i've lost count of how many computers we have in this freakin house.. hehe.. :)  my hubby is probably the king of geeks.. even his ultra geeky friends call him that.. haha.. :)  i had no hope of being a normal gal after i married him!  hehe

My linux box blew up a couple years ago (she was named The Morrigan and I guess it caught up with me) and then I upgraded from spare parts and all I had lying around for an OS was Win2K Pro.  And yes, I run WinXP Pro SOLELY cause WoW doesn't wreck my computer when I run that :)

If your computer desk ever collapsed... and crushed more than 5 motherboards... you might be l33t trash.

ooh Linux is too hardcore for me! :) I've never even touched that OS. And you are right about the graphics software - that's why I need the Mac. Try keeping 3 Adobe programs open on a Windows machine and you'll crash quicker than you can say "Bite Me Bill Gates!"
