Multivitamin- to help get any good stuff I'm not getting in my food

Calcium + Vitamin D- because I have a vagina (women are more prone to things like osteoperosis)

Fish Oil Pill w/ Omega 3 Fatty Acids- it's good for your heart and I can't afford to eat fish 5 nights a week (even though I love seafood and would do so if budget allowed).  My HDL cholesterol levels are great and this is likely contributing.

Benefiber- as needed to ensure I get 25g of fiber/day

My doctor knows about all these supplements and agrees they're good for me so it's basically not doing any harm and likely doing some good.

Ultra Mega Man - Sport Multi-Vitamin / Only one a day

Glucosamine for Joints / knees have actually stopped hurting (could be in my head)

Fish Oils / 2 a day

Vitamin C - When Colds are running rampant in the household.

Calcium + Vitamin D - GNC Chewable 600mg / Take 2  a day since i do not consume much Dairy in my diet.

a multi
iron (because i bleed like a mafugga)
vitamin D (because summer is ovah - sob!)

i get my calcium from the gallon of milk and pound of cheese i eat every week.

None.... I believe (and my doctor confirms) that a balanced diet provides me with all the vitamins and minerals I need at the moment and that taking supplements would literally be money down the drain.  Once I pass 50 I'll start taking supplements because the body is less efficient at extracting them at that stage.

I've been taking a low-dosage time release iron lately. When I go to the blood bank to give blood my iron level is either borderline or I ended up where I couldn't give. I want to take the minimum because it can cause constipation. Don't want that. I'm past menopause, so I don't have to worry about loss of blood. I don't eat red meat. The analysis on CC says I don't get much iron in my diet. I take a time-release 500 mg niacin because my doctor says it helps with raising HDL cholesterol (the good one). However, everyone should probably check with a doctor before taking that much niacin. My sister started taking it and almost passed out. She could have been having a reaction because she's on other medication. I get a little flushed but not in an unpleasant way. I am now taking calcium because I reduced the amount of milk I drink. I still eat yogurt, but I had to cut the milk to leave room in my 1400 calories a day for the 30 grams of flax (160 calories) I now eat. That's for lowering cholesterol levels. I take fish oil capsules for that too. Seems like a lot of supplements. But I've been feeling pretty good lately. And since my cholesterol numbers have really improved and my triglycerides have been cut in half, I figure I'll stick with it for a while. I don't take any prescription medication.

I can't take a multi as Im on Accutane and I haven't been able to find a multi that has less than the required amount I can take daily..

Most are skin related as my skin is massivley fooooked

Omega 3 - 6 - 9 (all in one pill)

CoQ10

Vitamin E

Selenium

Vitamin C

B12

Green Tea Extract

Flax Seed Oil

Glucosamine Sulphate, joints, bad knees

I think I might start taking a bit of iron and D as I can't take my multi anymore

And for sure Im going to start B5

whats fish oils and omegas for?

Fish oils contain omegas in it and are good for avoiding cardiovascular disease and helps inflammation in your body.

I personally only take vitamin B12 for energy.

If I know for a fact that I didn't eat enough iron in a day, I just pop a multivitamin that has 100% iron.  If I consume a lot of meat and cereal, I tend to skip on the vitamin.

Niacin, Fish Oil, Multi-vitamin, Glucosamine-Chondroitin, Sam-E

Reasons high cholesterol and bad joints.

About Niacin flushing, take a baby aspirin before and be sure you've eaten recently. Once I started the ld aspirin, the flushing stopped. My joint problems are partially due to the statin drugs I was taking for cholesterol which caused me to stop exercising all together. I'm still on a statin but it doesn't hurt as bad and am slowly rebuilding the intensities of my workouts. Feels good to be active again!

I just recently started taking vitamins and suppliments.

Fish oil, flax seed oil, calcium w/D, and a multi B.

I chose what I thought would be good.  Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Does the Glucosamine work, really? I have really bad, painful knees.
