vitamins for promoting hair growth
Hey -first off, I know there are a lot of hair loss forums, which I have read through but I want to know exactly which vitamins I need to take- not a list of 40 b/c i cannt physically take that much!
My story:
I have been really stressed out for 3 weeks, and I have had some bad eating patterns. I would eat, but really only refined carbs, etc just b/c i had NO TIME. I know that is no justification, but i did it. Anyway, I have lost a lot of hair in the process. I see it come out in my brush, anytime i run my hands thru my head. Also, my usually very strong nails are broken, short and not growing. I was wondering what I can do. Which vitamin should I take to help recover my hair. Also, I would like to note that while i prob dont get enough protein I do eat many almnds and walnuts everyday.
i appreciate the info! thank
im pretty sure eatting a lots of healthy fats is the only real way to help hair...along with vitamin B
Fats! Fats! Fats! I have the softest.. shiniest.. frizz-free hair EVER since I've started downing a tbsp. of pure, unheated olive oil a day!
so nuts are not sufficient? I have about 350 calories worth a day?
Nuts should be awesome, too. I just don't have the experience with them as I did the olive oil. :)
The link provides a list of vitamins/minerals that benefit skin, hair, and nails.

It is always best to get the listed vitamins/minerals from food, but there are thousands of supplements that contain a nice mix. I take one and it seems work very well. Caution, Vitamin A is awesome...but don't overdo it.
Bioton, pre-natal vitamins, keratin.
