Hi everyone. I am five foot eight and 120 pounds. I guess I'm a skinny fat person.
I have always been uncomfortable about my stomach. I get 'apple shaped' when I put it into those waist to hip ratio things. The thing is I have very small hips and, yes, the weight I gain tends to go to my stomach. If I keep a low body weight is this ok? And can the ratio be thrown off by the fact that my hips are so small?

Hello! I am exactally the same! I have no hips and no butt, but have always had issues with my stomach! The fact that you are apple shaped isnt necessarily a bad thing, it just happens to be your shape and you will probably always be predisposed to carry weight on your tummy. You have a low body weight, but doing exercise and eating well will help to minimise stomach fat. The fact that your hips are small is typically a characteristic of the 'apple' shaped body. The best you can do is tone up a bit, but accept that you probably will never have a super flat stomach. There are members of this site that would kill for your stats, so concentrate on getting healthy and find clothes that suit your shape!
