ok, right now i'm feeling pretty lame.
my friend and i were measuring our waists the other day at school (she was in a clothing class and had a tape measurer) and she measured mine out to be 32 inches. and she was a 36, and she's on the low end of obese..
can this be right? am i really a 32..? a 32 is pretty big, most people aim to have like 24-26 don't they? and my friend, who is on the low end of obese, is apparenlt 36. am i really this fat or what?
what i'm wondering maybe.. is if she didn't measure it right. i don't have much of a waist because i'm short so she might have measured part of my hips instead. i wear a size 3/4 pants (they're tight on me, but i like tight pants). is this normal for a 32?
i just don't know what to say haha. a 32 is.. ugh.
also i'm 5'2" and 116 lbs.
I'm 5'0 and 96 lbs, and a 24 1/2 waist.
She measured wrong. Take your clothes off and measure the SMALLEST PART OF YOUR WAIST.
ah, that's reassuring haha. i figured she measured it wrong.. i guess having someone else do it isn't asking for the most accurate results.
i don't have a tape measurer though.. she got that one from her clothing class ]:
ha at only 116lb she definitely measured wrong! Measure the narrowest part of your torso, where you bend at the waist NOT below or on the navel. Some sites say measure 1" above the navel but my true waist is higher than that. If you have string you can measure with that and figure it out with a ruler.
23 inches
I seriously doubt if your waist is a 32 inch, wearing a size 3/4 try 23-24 inches....
well i don't pull my pants up to my waist either.. :x
they are pretty low cut, too short to meet my waist. i always have to pull them up :S
waist measurements are pretty depressing for me. even at 120, 5'4", i have a huge waist around 31", and before you say that there's no way possible. it really is. =( guess i'll have to work harder.

yeah but people with tiny waist store fat in other areas like their a%#(me
tiny waist with ghetto booty)![]()
I am 5'5.5 and 123 pounds with my natural waist being 26, then where my belly button goes it is 30 1/2 and then at my hips where i would wear american eagel pants at like the HIP bone which is not considered your hip measurement is 33.
I want my waist to be at about 24" but it's 28" at the moment :( *sigh* It's all stored on my lower abs though mainly.
also take into account that some girls just have wider hips, you know "child bearing" hips and she may of measured your hips :) u cud have 40 inch hips and toned with a six pack it just depends of your body shape
I feel like I have such a big waist for my weight. I'm 5'5, 106, and have a 26 inch waist.
I'm 5'11.5" and I have a 22 inch waist on a good day maybe 23 inch on a bad day. I measure myself like everyday though, I'm a little obsessive.
im 5'6.5"
i wear a size 4/5
and my waist is 26"
i bet she measured wrong : )
ugh.. i measured with a belt (wrapped the belt around) and used a ruler and i'm 28 inches.
how is this possible?
i should be less.. i'm 116... why is my waist so big? :|
Does anyone else measure their thighs?
i'm a 25 or 26 i think. i wish it was smaller :( but i have a rectangle figure haha
