Hello, amigos.

So, someone posted this link for the under 21 set to use as a calorie thinger.

http://www.phord.com/cc/?m=US&a=1--1-1-1- 1-&q=f-18-157.48-68.64-1.2-0-0-

So, now I am confused. Do I eat 1,300 or so and than exercise off the other 675 calories?

-OR-

Do I eat my Average daily burn and work off those 675 calories? My Avg. daily burn is about 1,900.

The world of counting calories makes me want to carry a mathematician around in my back pocket. This little mind trip calculator is so detailed! The words confuse me.

Darling, I clicked on that link and the best thing I can tell you is don't give yourself a stroke. That is a lot of unnecesary information, and it's best not to even use that calculator (the one here on CC will suit you perfectly)

As far as how much you should eat, that is entirely up to you. Remember, one pound of body fat is approximately 3500 calories. So inorder to lose one pound you need to burn 3500 more calories than you eat. In order to do this, you just have to eat less than what you burn each day until you burn enough!

If you burn 1900 calories a day, eating ANY amount under that will lead to weight loss! (as far as additional exercise goes, that will only speed up the process!)

hope that helps! :)

Where are you getting the 1300 and 675 from? When I clicked on the link it showed that you should eat 1420 calories a day if you are sednetary to lose 0.57 pounds a week.

If you're under 21, the CC calculators are a little out.  This link is recommended for most.  http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html  If you enter your stats, see which activity level sounds most like you (remembering that 'activity' is everything mobile, including exercise) and read off the number in the box that's the amount of calories you need to maintain your weight.

It'll also tell you if you're already a healthy weight.  If it turns out you need to lose weight deduct 500-700 cals only from the maintenance number and make sure this is no lower than 1500 in total.
