Your BURN meter number is only available on the day of the burn.  Unless you recorded it in a journal or something, you can not retrieve previous days burns -- only cals eaten

No you can't, but I too wish it would.

People have been asking for this one for a long time. They won't add it till some other site adds it and people leave for that one; they're bringing out different functionality instead, like mobile, groups, etc, instead of working on the basic functions, to get more exposure. After all, this is already the best site in terms of basic functions...

I would love to see this too. In the meantime I work with a separate spreadsheet and did the math on what I burn per minute if I do nothing. If you know what an exercise asks in energy you need to subtract that minutes you did that times what you burn a minute. That way I can keep an eye to it.

But again: I would really love to see this in my account because now you can't see if you did any good or not.

It's hard to track one's progress and know what's worked if one doesn't have access to all the data.  I can see my weight loss history and pull up my diet history but I have no burn history available, so I don't have all the info available to me.  Why not?  Wouldn't it make sense?
i wish this could be fixed
I've hoped for this feature as well - it seems like a practical addition so we can see how our loss trend lines up with our calorie deficits. I'm glad you brought it up.

Not really a fair statement.  Erik and Igor have worked really hard to make calorie-count what it is, and to keep it free of charge.  Having no idea of the programing challenges, or the priorities for the development of the site, we're not in a position to criticize.

But you are right that CC is the best site, with the best tools, there is!  And it's constantly being improved.

so clairelaine!! what do you say? can you guys make it work? because seriously, it would be SUCH a nice thing to have!!!!

...bump! :)

Big fan of the site. When people ask me what I'm doing to lose weight I always give props to CC+.  I too need the burn data because calorie counting is only half the puzzle.  I take the CAL half of the puzzle and add it to the burn half I maintain on a spreadsheet.  Separately&nbs p;neither piece of data is the whole story. the "story" on CC+ is akin to micro (daily) level. That's too close to really figure out how I'm doing overall.  I prefer the perspective of a week, or a month to decide if I need to make adjustments in my diet, exercise.  Weight loss is gradual, and the results of eating habits take place too slowly to monitor daily.  My theory is if eat a nutritionally/calorie/burn balanced diet, good health will result.  that I something I can sustain as a lifestyle, not "dieting".

I copy the nutritional RDA info (vits, cholest, sod, etc.) into a spreadsheet and use graphs to assess my diet for nutritional soundness.  On days where the profile looks good, I go back to the eat log and make a point to eat more like that; conversely, on poor nutritional days, I make a point to avoid those choices.  CC+ has all the data, it just isn't accessible for integrated macro analysis.
