That's my new mini goal.  I want to be down another 5 pounds by the time that Valentine's Day gets here!  Would love to have a few of you join me just to make it interesting!  Let me know if you want to shoot for this goal with me!

Im with you! i had a car crash a few months ago and have now just got back to the stage where i want to be training again, 5lbs by vantines day! here i come!
Oh good!  I'm so glad I have someone to do this with.  It makes it easier!  I have got to get in the gym more.  This week was insane and I missed the gym all week.  Will definitely work out today and this weekend.  Then next week I am back on track!  Let's check in with each other occasionally to see how we're both doing!  I'll add you as a buddy!  Is that cool?
i'd LOVE to lose 5 by Valentine's Day! Heck, I'd settle for 3!  Watch out gym, here I come...more than usual!

YES!!
I don't think 5lbs in two weeks is doable for me anymore. I was able to do that when I was 200+ lbs, my weight loss is slower now at 151lbs, so 2-3lbs loss in 2 week is a success for me.
Are you guys able to lose that much in 2weeks?
I'll join in =] I'd love to lose 5lbs by Vday. However I don't think it's possible for me. Right now I'm like borderline away from breaking into the 140's. I'm like 150-151-152 right now. If I don't lose 5lbs I'd be happy just breaking into the 140's. =]

Sounds good to me!  I guess this means I have to get myself over to a scale to weigh in every once in a while (I don't have one now in my dorm or anything).

5 pounds is doable for me in two weks if I hit the gym really hard.  Although I hear what you're saying about being lower on the scale and it not coming off as fast.  In the past when I have lost alot the weight loss definitely slowed down the closer I was to my goal weight.  Join us anyway if you like!  It's just a mini goal for me and if you need to set your own mini goal then that works too!!  Good luck to all of you!!!  Let's check in the friday the8th just to see how everyone is doing!!

I'll do it too :) I don't belong to a gym, but  I'll hit my exercise bike harder than normal---maybe I'll do it twice a day :)
I already swore I'd be at 172, on another forum, so thats 4.5 # for me and it will be tough.  Mostly have been at a standstill, but continueing good habits.  Maybe I'm too comfortable with the loss I've accomplished over the past 9 months and have relaxed too much.

Time to get my rear in gear and start working harder again.

Let's all check back here every day and see how motivated and how hard we can work to accomplish our VALENTINE GOAL.

I was hungry this morning and now its noon and I only have an allowance of 700 calories for the rest of the day.........wish me luck on not going over.  I will make the remainder healthy choices.

the last 5 lbs seems to be a mental thing more than anything..and i guess its ok if i dont see the numbers go down but just get more toned by V-Day!

I was trying to zig zag but I feel like it's just letting my unmindful eating get the best of me so it's back to routine 1400 cals + working out :)

day 1:  I blew it yesterday and overate.  Decided to start running again.  also starting on South Beach again.  Afraid to get on scale after all the superbowl snacking.

EDIT:  gained 2.5# over weekend, so officially have to lose 7# by the 14th........(10 days).

kept at 1,200 calories today.

walked one hr.

jogged 1 mile......with breaks.......I'm out of shape :)

what did the rest of you do today to get to your goal.

I've had a cold so not much energy to exercise, but feeling sick has really prompted me to eat better, boost up my immune system!  I've got oatmeal for breakfast, bean salad for lunch.  I think some cheese and aple for snacks.  10 more days left till Valentine's!!

Ok.....your on....I need a challenge....I will start as of today.....check back on friday.......  good luckWink

Efforts yesterday paid off.  I'm down .8#, but it could be sodium from superbowl binge.  Plan to do about the same things today.

HAH...I'd be lucky if I lost 2 by Vday...I can't afford gym membership so I exercise at home, while my daughter plays, and I try to add her into it (She's 18 months) by letting her sit on my stomach or lift her lol. But yeah, Vday...I doubt I'll get anywhere in 9 days :P
my plans for hitting the gym extra hard have been failing because I have just started grad school full time and have already allowed myself to fall behind on some homework! so I have been too busy playing catch up with all my free time outside of work. But hopefully I can lose SOMETHING by V-day....at least a pound...or 2!??! something??
