ok.. there's #3 wanna binger on here tonight.. is it a full moon?  haha..

if you've been wanting to binge all day that's tough.. maybe next time you feel like this (earlier) you can have 1 piece (small) of dark chocolate.. gets rid of the cravings and you're not thinking about it the rest of the day.. but that's too late for tonight..

eat some jello!  if you don't have jello.. uhhh.. have somehting else super low calories.. do you have any calories left for the night?
Yes I have calories left, but I was trying to stay under to shed a little more weight.

This is hard, I dont know what is wrong..
Ok.. I need to get control huh.....What if I have a few strawberries sprinkled with Splenda. You think that would curb this craving??????
i don't know.. when i have a craving i go with it.. that way it doesn't snowball into something bigger.. and substituting something in place of what i want doesn't work for me.. just makes me eat more..  because then i eat the substitution AND what i was craving.. i learned that quick.. this afternoon i had the same craving for chocolate and i had one hershey's sticks (they are 60 calories) and craving over!  end of story!  :)

how many calories do you have left?  could you afford 1 hershey's kiss or something that small (1 hershey's kiss=25 calories)..
Yes, I have enough left for something small, but nothing like that to eat in the house and will have to drive to the store to get anything, and that is very scary right now because I dont want to buy something I will regret. But I think that you are right something small to satisfy because if I try to substitute then I will eat that and probably eat something bad later as well. Will Power....Will Power....Will Power. I have will power, I do I do I do I do..
Thank you for being here for me. thank you so much
Oh, my I so had this happen earlier today... I ran around my office on a hunt for chocolate. I had 2 mini bars and then spent an extra 10 on the eliptical... but yeah if you still have some cals left... have some jello or a little soemthing. Also my big trick latley is a 2 part thing. First get a really big glass of water (good and cold) and add a little limon to it. Drink as much of it as you can stand before setting it down. that helps fight the physical feeling. Part 2 is that i keep my scale in the kitchen... every time I walk in there I have to see it and it makes me stop and think. That might help with the mental part.
no problem.. :)

sometimes 1/2 a granola bar works for my chocolate cravings too (and it's somewhat healthy)

and i hear you about going to the store.. i can't go hungry anymore.. that's evil
Here is my growing list of suggestions (I gave these to someone just a bit earlier, but they might help you, too):

Non-food related options:

Watching television is a HUGE mistake. There are so many food related commercials and snacking in front of the television is second nature to some people.

After midnight it gets easier, because I distract myself with planning tomorrow's menu

Find someone from this site to chat with on IM

Another distraction I find, is reading through the archives on this website. Just reading everyone's challenges and successes keeps me in the right frame of mind and gives me courage.

Here are some other things to try. Housecleaning! Even if you keep a very clean and tidy house, there is always something that could use a good scrubbing.

Make something elaborate to eat for tomorrow. Like I just spent the past 2 hours making a pot of chili. Chopping veggies is very time consuming. Lots and lots of veggies.

Low calorie, Food related options:

Make a cup of hot tea, somehow hot liquids help

Slowly lick a spoon of peanut butter

Eat spinach leaves, raw and plain (1 cup of fresh spinach is 7 calories)

Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Strawberries - these are your friends. They are sweet, but full of good stuff and lots of liquid.

If all else fails, I make a pot of popcorn. I have decided to stay away from microwave popcorn and starting making my own on the stovetop using white kernels. I sprinkle just a dash of salt and I drink lots of water with it. (1 cup is 33 calories and very filling)

1 Cup of Chicken Broth, 38 Calories

1 Cup of Veggie Broth, 15 Calories

Oh, another thing I do is suck on a lemon or lime. That really helps. I don't really care for either, but if I am really craving food, I just tell my brain to shut up and stick a lime in my mouth.

Another trick that I do, is situps. Like if I want something to eat really bad, then I make a deal with myself. 20 situps for one serving according to the package of whatever it is I want or 1/4 of a cup, which ever is the smaller amount.

I also try to space the time between my meals out more. Like I still have one small meal left for the night. I know it can be difficult and it is a delicate balance, but have patience. You can do it!

Thank you so much for all the suggestions and help. I made it Ladies. I made it through. THank you so much

These are all really helpful-thank you so much!

When I am super hunger I make a baked potato. They are filling, fast just 4 min in the micro wave and low cal as long as you dont put alot of junk on them.

I want to eat everything in the pantry right now too. I live with my family, who arent here to stop me at the moment, so its stocked full of poptarts, cookies, honey buns, etc. And Im trying to break away from my bad habits. I wrote my weight on my hand, made some chicken with brown rice and vegetables and chugged a liter of water. Then I went to my room. Out of sight, out of mind. Once my food settles I am going to work out. Just gotta realize that a few moments of "pleasure" that is experienced from that unhealthy food isn't worth feeling like crap tomorrow.

Fooledbyfaith says: "I want to eat everything in the pantry right now too. I live with my family, who arent here to stop me at the moment, so its stocked full of poptarts, cookies, honey buns, etc."

First: you are the only one who can stop yourself from abusing your body with foods that are so addictive and poision to your system. You can choose to eat something good for you.

Second: with a pantry stocked with such junk, your family would never think to stop you from stuffing your face with that stuff. The truth is: they are trying to slowly kill you. I've heard of child abuse, but my god, can they not think of something better to stock a pantry?
