So this past weekend was my birthday and some of my friends took me out. We celebrated on cinco de mayo and sunday was my 23rd b-day. I haven't had too much to drink since starting c-c in jan. We went to a mexican restraunt where I decided it was my birthday celebration and I could splurge a little.... MISTAKE. One of the girls that took me out was meeting her coworkers at the restraunt, whom I had never met before.

I drank 4 margaritas and 1 jager shot and was definitlly feeling it. I told you I was celbrating. Some chips and a meal later, I was feeling good. A guy sitting across from me told me a joke and I laughed so hard I started to cough... which turned into my head under the table puking everything up. I was so mortified my boyfriend took me to the bathroom and we left from there, I didn't even say goodbye to anyone.

I don't know if it was from drinking, but more then likely it was because I haven't had more than 2 drinks in a sitting since January. I also haven't eaten greasy food in a while. I think the combination was really brutal on my stomach, and the coughing just brought it all up.

So I needed to share my experience to prevent someone else from making a complete butt out of themselves like I did. The only somewhat humerous part was my friend trying to make me feel better by telling me I didn't need to count the calories in the food/drinks that I threw up, lol.... I don't think it works that way.

well you must have a VERY funny friend...
:)

dont feel bad..i did the same thing. i think it was the habit of intake and wt.loss for me. if you weigh less...you cant handle all the drinks you used to.

at least no hangover right?

;)
I remember drinking too much, then telling a girl that she was what was keeping me from getting sick.  Then I puked all over and never saw her again.....

We all do something stupid sometime, and as nice as a warning is, a lesson works better!
HAHAHAHA! I'm so sorry! That is TERRIBLE!

I've gotten sick before, it's okay. Only once. But the circumstances were similar, sort of. My boyfriend was with me and we went to one of my friend's dorm rooms, back when I was at the University of Illinois. Well, we starting drinking Jack Daniels and juice. I was pleasantly buzzed, then drunk, and I kept drinking, and then all of a sudden I hit that point where I felt TERRIBLE.

Went to the community bathroom, and I was throwing up for two hours. Guess who was holding my hair? Boyfriend. We had only been dating, maybe, a couple months at the time. I felt veeeery vulnerable. I hardly even remember it, though, hahaha.

And then he had to walk me home, undress me, deal with taking me to the bathroom again, sleep next to me in a twin bed with my drunken breath all over him. Hahahaha oh GOD, the way he told it was so funny.

We broke up after a year. There were no more incidents like that. I don't drink anymore. You live, you learn.

hey Ek, don't feel too bad! i made an ass out of myself on cinco de mayo too! i told someone i've been friends with forever that i like him, and he pretty much rejected me because he thought it was because i was drunk. and now i'm too embarassed to tell him that's not the reason! then after being rejected, i managed to drop my cellphone somewhere in the street. but some wonderful good samaritans found it, answered it when i called and got it back to me! of course that involved drunkenly stumbling up to strangers (in tears) asking them to use their phones to call my lost phone. i then somehow convinced an MTBA (thats the boston subway) cop to give me a ride home so i wouldn't have to pay for a cab.  what a fabulous night...or not.
Thank you all.... you made me feel much better!
If I threw up, I wouldn't count the points!

I did a very similar thing.   With Nachos.   It's the Jager.  That's what i blamed anyway!!!!    we've all been there.  And I wouldn't count the points either!  or maybe just half   :)
i'm having my birthday party tonight & will probably have a drink and some rich food for the first time in a while. i'm totally taking this to heart & NOT OVER-DOing it tonight!!

sorry about your experience, but thanks for sharing. we can all learn from your example :-)

EDIT : THANK YOU!! Your timely example really did help me keep from over-indulging! I limited myself to 2 drinks, ate sensibly - nothing overly fatty or sweet, and it was a great night! It's easy to forget that our bodies will probably react badly to a really indulgent night of eating & drinking. I appreciate the reminder :-)
Carrihound:

Happy belated birthday! I'm glad you had fun!
Cool story Erika! Dont feel bad about it, most people have at least one alcohol induced puke story from their past. My story is known as "The Tequila Incident". Let's just say I got my mom's couch completely re-upholstered afterward. Good Times, Happy Belated Birthday! BTW, I still can't drink tequila, or even smell it for that matter.
