I want ice cream.....HELP!!!!!
I'm not sure if you like yogurt or not, but a good way to trick the mind into thinking you're having ice cream is to freeze some yogurt or chill it and enjoy a 100 calorie treat.
thanks a lot. now i want ice cream ![]()
thanks, but I am at work and someone brought in cookies and unfortunitly I have ice cream in the freezer here for my son (after school snack with his fruit). and it just sounds sooooo good right now! but I realy cant indulge, We are leaving for a short 4 day trip out of state so I know my eating choices will be limited to "resturants". I need to get my mind off of food right now!!!! arrrrrrrr
but thats a great idea for when i get back to have at work!
Thanks
I am sorry ......................Pgeorgian
Please forgive me![]()
May be you can just have few bites instead? Can just few bites of icecream hurt the calories that much?
might work, but they are ice cream sandwiches. also even if I cut one in half I dont think I could leave the rest......
I am trying to convince myself that water is awsome!!!!!

I am craving ice cream....please help me get passed this!
Rasberry sorbet. 110 cals per 1/2 cup.
My mom eats frozen yogurt she gets the chocolate and i was over there the other day and she gave me a bite of it and it was really good. I think it has less fat and calories than ice cream and better for you. Or do what i do i just have a serving of Edy's slow churned ice cream they have a TON of differnt flavors and most of the 1/2 cup servings dont go over 150 calories. I have it when im really craving ice cream.
It may be too late now, since you had the ice cream temptation already (don't know if you ate it or not, but it's okay if you did, you know.)
Find something sweet you like, that isn't bad..maybe a bag of frozen berries, or frozen yogurt as some have said..sorbet..if you keep a treat around for yourself, you can reach for that instead of the regular, full fat stuff everyone else is eating.
If you have good self control, you can also just have a small portion, too.
I love the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, and find that a lot of the light version of regular ice cream brands are pretty good.
You could also keep sugar free pudding around..I love that stuff.
It's good for a chocolate fix sometimes.
Just throw the other half of the sandwich away. If you CAN'T eat it, how're you going to eat it? I do that with meals, I'll make hamburgers, eat a little bit and force myself to throw the other half or so away so I can't have the craving. It's gone and that's it.
I am an ice cream addict!!! I buy slow churned like Edy's, Bryer's, or Giant Eagle Brand. I never buy a carton that has more than 130 calories per half cup. Also I've gotten good at only eating a half cup of ice cream!!! Get some lower cal ice cream and budget the calories into your day and it should be all good. A little ice cream, that stays with in your limit is just fine! :-)
Have some. Choose something more natural without a lot of additives/preservatives. Top with fresh fruit an enjoy. If you really crave something eat it.
Might be too late for now, but try buying Skinny Cow ice cream sticks. Only 87 calories for a decent serving! And the ice cream tastes sooooo good!!!
This is an external stimulant, you did not want it before you saw it so just take it out of your mind, telling yourself about the trip you are going to take and maybe have some planned ice cream during your trip will be more enjoying then this fast grab.
You are going to feel terrible after eating it, take the control back. plan for the item during your trip.

I'd rather give to a small craving then restrict until I binge... Just how I am though. And I second skinny cow =) keeps the ice cream monster at bay
Thanks everyone!!! you guys are great help. I did manage to keep away from the ice cream. and I had a wonderful time on my trip with out going out of controll with my eating :-) i am sooo proud of my self!!! and I have bought some skinny cow ice cream bars "low sugar" for those times that people bring in the "bad" stuff here at work...i am prepared! and i have some frozen yougurt at home to try (what an awsome idea) thanks again for all your help, suggestions and support. it realy makes a difference.
